* Tarres [tares] The common vetch. Grown as a valuable fodder crop for livestock.
Seame – a measure of grains – e.g. wheat, rye, barley. It was the equivalent of 8 bushells.
Each bushell weighed about 60 lbs (about 27 kilos).
