In the Name of God Amen
I William Corney of Greenwich in the County of Kent Gentleman being in health and of sound and disposing Mind and Memory do make this my last Will & Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

I do give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Catharine Corney my four Freehold Houses Messuages and Tenements situate in Park Row Greenwich in the County of Kent for and during the term of her natural life
nevertheless subject to the payment of Twenty pounds yearly in two half Yearly Payments of ten Pounds each to be paid to my Mother Sarah Corney of Deal in the aforesaid County during the term of her natural life

And after the decease of my said Wife Catharine Corney then the aforesaid four Freehold Houses Messuages and Tenements to be sold by Public Auction and the Produce thereof to be equally divided between
Adam Collard, William Collard, Stephen Collard, Sarah Collard, Ann Power Collard, Elizabeth Collard and Mary Collard Children of my Sister Elizabeth Collard of Deal in the County aforesaid
and William Bolten Corney, Ann Corney and Mary Corney the Children of my late Brother Henry Corney
or the Survivors of them share and share alike

Also I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth Collard of Deal in the County aforesaid after the decease of my Wife Catharine Corney two hundred pounds three per Cents now standing in my Name in the Books of the Bank of England

Also I give and bequeath unto William Rout Linnen Draper of Deptford in the County of Kent ten Pounds
Also to my Sister in Law Mary Corney of Greenwich ten Pounds

Also I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Catharine Corney the Lease of my House in Elizabeth Row, Greenwich wherein I now dwell and all my Furniture and all my Furniture Plate Linnen Chinas and Household Furniture and all the Rest and Residue of my Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (subject to my just Debts and Funeral Expences) for her own proper use and benefit for ever

Also I constitute and appoint my said Wife Catharine Corney and William Rout Linnen Draper aforesaid of Deptford in the County of Kent my joint Executrix and Executors of this my last Will & Testament
And my Will is that they shall not be answerable for any loss by any Security or Securities that may happen on my Estate but shall retain all their Costs or Expences that may be incurred in the Execution of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness thereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twentieth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven in the presence of us who have Subscribed as Witnesses

This Will was proved at London the sixth day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred before the Worshipful Samuel Pearce Pearson Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Catharine Corney Widow the Relict of the deceased and William Rout the Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
