My body to be buried at the discrecion of mine Executors
20 shillinges to the poore people of Yalding
13s 4d to the poore people of Marden

I give unto my mother Cislie Coveney, widowe, twoe angels in tokeine of my good will towards her
I give to Margaret Swinerton, widowe, my mother in lawe in recompense of the paines which she hathe taken with me, one cowe and in monie 10 shillinges
40 shillinges to Alice my wieffe
2 ewes apeece to either of my brothers John Coveney and Robert Coveney
2 ewes apeece to either of my two sisters Alice, the wieffe of John Lamperne and Cicelie Coveney
I bequeathe unto Susan Andrewe, daughter of my sister Joan, 2 ewes
I give to Nicholas Osmer my black heifer, he payenge to mine Executors 13s 4d within one month next after my decease
20 shillinges to William Weller of Yalding

I bequeath unto every of my godchildren Thomas Maye, Dennys Codd and Lawrence Nashe one good ewe lamb to be delivered to them about the midsomer after my decease
10 shillinges to Alice Becher, my wives sisters daughter

My verie minde, intente, will and true meaning is that all the residue of my goods and chattels whichsoever, my debtes paide, my legacies performed and my funerall expences discharged, shalbe appraized and soulde by mine Executors to the uttermost value that theie maie, within one yeere nexte after my decease and that with the monie thereof cominge, theie shall purchase soe muche landes in fee simple, annuities or leases or shall put forth the saide monie upon good assurance after the rate of tenn poundes of the hundred unto the use of William Coveney my sonn and of his heires of his bodie lawfullie begotten, and that mine Executors shall receave the yearlie rente, profit and intereste growing of the said landes, annuities or leases or monie unto the same use untill the saide William my sonn shall accomplishe the full age of twentie twoe yeares and that then shall give an accompte bothe of the principall and the profits of the said lands, annuities, leases or monie

And also my will and minde is that my Executors shall have the custodie and bringinge up of the said William my sonn until that he shalbe of the saide full age of 22 yeares.

I will and desire that yf it fortune the saide William to die before he shall accomplishe the said yeares of 22 yeares without heires of his bodie lawfullie begotten, Then the parte and porcion of the saide William my sonn shalbe to the use of Robert Covenie my brother and his heires and that he shall then paie unto John Covenie my brother the somm of �5 to be delivered and paide within one yeare nexte after the decease of the said William my sonn.

I will that Ambrose Tiler of Yalding, husbandman and Cicelie Coveney my mother of the same parish and countie, widowe, shalbe the Executors of this my present testament,
And I give to either of them for takinge uppon them the execucion thereof 20 shillinges a peece together with theire charges and expences about the execucion of the same.

I will and desire William Hatche of Netlestead in the saide countie of Kente, Yeoman to be the overseer of this my presente will and I give unto him 6s 8d for his paines and his charges over and above to be had and sustained about anie of the premises aforesaide
