Robert Coveney of Wye, Yeoman, will dated 17 Nov 1615
My bodye to be decentlye buryed & interred within the Churche yarde of Wye
I gyve to the most poore, aged & impotente people of the sayde paryshe of Wye 20 shyllynges yo be be given & dystrybuted to them in halpeny breade, penny greade & two penny breade where most need shall be, by the discretion of the Church wardens of Wye in the day of my buryall

12 pence a peece to every of my servants
20 shyllyngs a yeare to my syster Marye Covenye for the hole terme of her naturall lyef to be payde to her halfe yearely by my Executor
I wyll & gyve to Joan my daughter, now the wyef of Thomas Glover of Wye, �100
I gyve & bequethe to Jane Covenye my daughter �200 to be payde to her at her age of one & twentye yeares or day of her marryage

And yf yt shall please god to take me to hys mercye before my sayde daughter Jane Coveney shall be marryed, or before she shall atteyne to her age of one & twenty yeares Then I wyll that George Covenye my sonne & Executor hereafter named shall paye to the sayd Jane Covenye hys syster �10 a yeare, half yearellly to be payde her towards her sustentacyon & maintenance in the meane tyme
I wyll & gyve to fower men that shall beare me to the Church to be buryed to every one of them 12 pence a peece

The Residue of all my goods as well moveable as unmoveable goods & chattalls whatsoever yt be, not before wylled & bequeathed I doe gyve, wyll a bequeath them fully & holye to the aforesayde George Covenye my Sonne whom I doe ordayne, make & appoynte my sole & onlye Executor of thys my last wyll & testament
And I doe desire my brother Edwarde Coveney to be my overseer and I doe gyve hym for hys paynes 40 shyllynges

I wyll & gyve to the above named George Covenye my sonne the messuage wherein I doe dwell with all the appurtenances ther unto belongynge & all other my lands & tenements scituate, lyenge & beynge within the paryshes of Wye & Bonyngton in the Countye of Kent or else where within the Realm of England
