I give unto 3 poore widows of the Parish of Hastingleigh, namely widow Philpot, widow
Carden and widow Lamprell, each of them 10 shillinges apiece
20 shillings to Stephen Lamprell
I give unto Mary Legate my servant one feather bed and one bolster and 10 shillings in moneys
I give unto my servant Elizabeth Heyward and to my 4 manservants, namely John
Smeeth, Thomas Smith, Clement White and John Pilcher, each of them 10 shillinges a peece
I give unto my daughter Elizabeth wife to Mr Willyam Andrew of Hyncksell in the county of Kent, gentleman, �20 and to her sonne Edwarde Andrew and to her daughter Elyzabeth Andrew each of them �20 apiece
I give unto my daughter Alice wife to Nicholas Bourne of the parish of Westwell in the County of Kent, gentleman �20, and to her two sonnes John Bourne and Nicholas Bourne each of them �20 apeece
I give unto my sonne Thomas Coveney of the Parish of Hyncksell in the County of Kent, gentleman, all my leases, terme and interest and terms of yeares which I have or shall have yet for to come from Dr Clerke President and the fellos of St Mary Madalen Colledge in the university of Oxon, and my will is that hee the foresayde Thomas Coveney shall have delivered unto him all the Indentures, leases and other writings belongeing to the same, and that hee shall enlet use and inioy all the landes conteined in that lease immediately after my decease
I give all my landes whatsoever and wheresoever unto my grand child John Coveney sonn
of Mr Thomas Coveney of Hyncksell, gentleman to him and his heires for ever
but my will further is that if my forenamed grandchild John Coveney should dye without heires of his
body lawfully begotten then my will is that John Bourne my grandchild sonne of Nicholas
Bourne of Westwell, shall have and inioy all my landes lying and being in the parish of
Westwell to him and to his heires for ever,
and my will further is, that all the rest of my landes lyinge elsewhere, in case my grandchild John Coveney
shall dye without heires,shall be and remaine to my sonne Thomas Coveney father of my grandchild John Coveney
Lastly, I doe make nominate and appointe the forenamed John Coveney my grandchild my sole and onely executor of this my last will and testament
