Will of Mary Cox

of Frittenden, Kent

after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid John Cox William Cox Charles Cox and Mary Cox equal shares and share alike when my daughter Mary Cox arrives at the age of twenty one years
and the farm I now occupy under William John Campion Esq to be carried on by my executors whom I shall hereafter name for the benefit of the family until my aforesaid daughter Mary is twenty one years of age when I hope my son John Cox will be able to take the said farm and carry it on himself

and I do nominate constitute and appoint John Bowles of this parish blacksmith and Edward Murphy of the aforesaid parish schoolmaster joint executors of this my last will and testament in ------- where of I the said Mary Cox have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty ninth day of December in the year of our lord Mary Cox � signed sealed declared and published by the above named Mary Cox as and for her last will and testament in the presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

the registered will of Mary Cox widow deceased was proved the twenty seventh day of January 1844 before the revered John Metcalfe clerk surrogate to the worshipful Sherrard Beaumont Burnaby Doctor of laws Official General to the Revered the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constitute by oaths of John Bowles and Edward Murphy the executors named in the said will they being first sworn duly to perform the same.

Mary Cox, widow, nee Town was baptised July 21 1794 at Sutton Valence.
She married William Burgess Cox of Frittenden.
