First I will order and direct all my just debts Funeral Expenses and the probate of this my Will be
first paid and discharged,
Also I give and bequeth unto my Grandaughter Elizabeth Cripps [my daughter
Sarah Gregory's Child] the sum of Twenty pounds to be paid unto her immediately after my Wife's decease
if she shall have arrived at the age of Twentyone years.
Also All my Messuages Lands Hereditaments and Premises whatsoever lying in the parish of Sevenoakes or Elsewhere in the County of Kent I give and devise unto my dear and loving Wife Sarah To hold unto her during her life if she shall so long keep herself a Widow and unmarried without Impeachment of Heart[?] and from and immediately after the decease or intermarriage of my said Wife ,which shall first happen I Give and Devise the same unto my two daughters the said Sarah Gregory and Mary Cripps To hold to them their Heirs and Assigns forever as Tenants in Common ,Nevertheless he Estate and Inheritance devised to my daughter Sarah Gregory ,Subject to the Payment of the said Sum of Twenty pounds unto my said Grandaughter Elizabeth Cripps
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Trusty and Wellbeloved Friends and Kinsmen William Tapsell and Benjamin
Hubble Yeomen All my Bills Bonds Mortgages Leases Plate Ready Money debts owing me and all Goods Cattle
Chattells and Personal Estate whatsoever In Trust for them to sell and dispose thereof or otherwise to
prosecute my business as to the shall seem meet and the Interest or Improvements of my Personal Estate I
Will my said Trustees shall pay unto my said Wife so long as she shall keep herself a Widow and unmarried
for her better maintenance and immediately after my Wife's decease or Intermarriage I Will my said Trustees
shall pay and distribute all my personal Estate under their Care Equally between my said two Daughters.
First paying themselves all Charges Expenses they shall sustain in the Execution hereof
And I nominate and Appoint the said William Tapsell and Benjamin Hubble joint Executors of this my last Will
and Testament, hereby Revoking and making void all former Wills and Bequests by me at any time heretofore
made IN WITNESS whereof I the said Thomas Cripps the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set
my Hand and Seal this First day of October in the Thirty second year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
King George the Second and in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Eight
Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who in his presence and at his request have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto in the
presence of Each other

This Will was proved at Tonbridge on the 19th day of July 1765 Before the Worshipfull Thomas Simpson Doctor of Laws Official lawfully constituted by the Oath of William Tapsell one of the Executors of the said Will named to whom ws granted Administration power reserved of granting the like Commission to Benjamin Hubble the other Executor in the said Will named when he shall apply
