This is the last Will and Testament of me Stephen Culver of Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent Schoolmaster
I being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby provoke all former Wills Codicils and other testamentary dispositions and do publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament

First I give and devise to my beloved Wife Marianne Culver and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life (if she shall continue my Widow) all and every my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever which I have power to dispose of by Will The half part of the house with it and every of its appurtenances thereunto belonging situated in High Street Ramsgate aforesaid being No 35 and now in the occupation of Spencer Singer Baker and Confectioner And also the quarter part of the house with it and every of its appurtenances thereunto belonging situated in High Street Ramsgate aforesaid being No 90 and now in the occupation of Thomas Pettman Professor of Music Together with all other my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and parts and share of messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the appurtenances thereunto belonging

And from and immediately after the death or intermarriage of my said Wife which shall first happen I give and devise my said messuages lands tenements hereditaments and parts and share of messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto and to the use of my two Sons namely Henry Culver of Broadstairs in the Isle of Thanet Whitesmith and Bell hanger And Alfred Culver of Ramsgate aforesaid Whitesmith and Bell hanger equally to be divided between them share and share alike as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and to their several and respective heirs and assigns for ever

Also I give and bequeath unto my said Wife for and during the term of her natural life (if she shall continue my Widow) after payment of my debts and funeral charges All my monies securities for money stocks in the public funds plate linen apparel household furniture effects goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever
And I declare that my said Wife during so long as she shall continue my Widow shall have the sole management and benefit of my aforesaid property or any part thereof as she shall think fit and most advantageous to her

And from and after the decease or intermarriage of my said Wife I give and bequeath all my said monies securities for money stocks in the public funds plate linen apparel household furniture effects goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said two Sons Henry Culver and Alfred Culver equally to be divided between them share and share alike and to their several executors administrators and assigns

And I appoint my said Wife sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former Wills made by me
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 15th day of May in the twelfth year of the reign of Queen Victoria over Great Britain and so forth and in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight Stephen Culver
