In the name of God Amen the third daie of Aprill 1648 and in the xxiijth [23rd] yeere of the Raigne of or Sovraigne Lord Charls &c.
I Thomas Dadd of the p[ar]ish of Littleborne in the County of Kent Weaver being sicke in body but of perfect Remembrance (praysed be God for it) doe make this my Last will and Testament in Manner and form followeing
Imprs I Give and beequeath my soule and Spirit into the hands of almighty God my maker trusting in the death and passione of his welbeloved sonne my only savior Jesus Christ to have a full remissione of all my sinnes And my body to bee buryed un the Churchyard of Littleborne so neare mine Antienters as Convenielitly as may bee And for my worldly Goods I give and dispose in manner and forme following

Item I give and bequeath unto my Loving wife Elizabeth all my Lands goods Chattels and Moveables whatsoever until my youngest daughter Thomsen shall come to the age of xx yeers
and Then my will is that my Eldest Sonne Robert Dadd shall have my peece of Land l[y]ing in Brooke
and my Sonne Thomas Dadd my land lying in the p[ar]ish of Ashe in Cope Street and also one Certayne howse with the Land thereunto belonging lying and beeing in the pish of Chartham in a place Called Above Hatch and one Certaine Tennement in Littleborne after my wifes decease : and during her naturall life my will is that shee shall inJoye the said Tenements

Item I Give unto my Eldest Dawghter Ann Dadd Tenn pounds to bee p[ai]d unto her by my sonne Robert Dadd out of his Land in brook wthin Twelve monthes after my Dawghter Thomsen shall come to the age of xx yeers as before and one great brass pot when shee shall have occatione to use it

Item I Give unto my Dawghter Martha Dadd Teenne pounds to be pd unto her by my sonne Thomas Dadd out of his lands before given unto him and at Thomsens xx years of age or within one yeere after as beefore and one great Chist when shee shall have occatione to use it

Item I give unto my yongest Daughter Thomsen Dadd Tenne pounds to bee paid unto her by my Sonne Thomas Dadd out of The lands aforesaide when shee shall Come to the age of One and Twenty yeers : and one little Chest when shee shall have ocacon to use it :

And if it happen that any one of my said sones to dye without heires of theire one bodys luafuly beegotten then my will is that theire Survivore shall enJoye all the same and to him and his heires for ever
And if it happen any of my Dawghtors Dy before they Come to the age of one and twenty years or Day of Maryage that then theire p[ar]tes to bee equally devided to the others or other so survivieing :

And I doe make and ordaine my aforenamed Loveing wiffe Elizabeth sole and singuler executrix of this my last will and Testament :

Probatum fuit: 8th December 1849 – to Executrix.

Notes:
Thomas Dadde was buried at St. Vincent, Littlebourne, Kent on 24 Oct 1649.
Thomas Dodd married Elizabeth Lansfield 17 Nov 1625 at Littlebourne.
