In the name of God Amen the fifteene day of March in the nynteenth yeere of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of God of England, Fraunce and Ireland, Defender of the faith &c. And of Scotland the Five and Fiftieth Annoq dini 1621(/2)
I Thomas Dale of Ashe next Sandwich in the Countie of Kent Yeoman being in good memorie & understanding doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner following, hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmightie God my Creator beleeving that after this mortall (life) is ended I shall be made p[ar]taker of life everlasting and that only through the merits? of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer
Item I bequeath my body to the earth whereof it was first formed

Item I bequeath to the poore of Ash aforesaid Ten shillings
Item I will and bequeath Ten shillings for a sermon to be preached at my funerall

Item I will and bequeath unto Joane my wife all the residue of my goods and moveables whatsoever wch is not herein otherwise bequeathed for and during her naturall life
and after her decease to Elizabeth my daughter now wife of Stephen Norwood

And I do nominate and appoint the said Joane my wife to be sole executrix of this my will yf shee shall be living at the tyme of my decease
and if the said Joane my wife shall decease whilst I shall be living then I nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth my daughter to be my executrix of this my will

Item I bequeath unto Joane Silver my Sisters daughter Tenn shillings to be paid unto her wthin three monethes next after my decease

In Witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and sealed dated the day and yeare first above written

Read, sealed, signed, published and declared and before the sealing and publishing hereof the said Thomas Dale did himselfe utter the substance of this will in the prsence of us
