In the name of God Amen I Robert Dalley thelder of Godmersham in the Countye of Kent Husbandman beinge sicke in boyde but of perfect memorye (praysed be God) do ordayne and cause this to be my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge :
First I do comend my soule unto the blessed Trynitye (of) God Almightie hopinge by my steadfast beliefe to have salvation in and by the meritorious passion of my alone Saviour Jesus Christe the second ppson [person] in Trynitye,
Secondly I will my bodye may be deently buryed in the Churchyard of the p[ar]ish of Godmersham afforesaid in the appointment of my Executrix hereafter named,

Item I will unto Susanna Dalley my daughter the sume of Tenn pounds good Englishe money and to be paid her by my said Executrix within three monthes after the day of her maryage soe it be at the good likinge of my said Executrix, And els my said Executrix to have two yeres after my decease for the payment thereof

Item I do will unto Edward Dalley my Sonne the some of Tenn pounds like good Englishe money to be paid him imediatly after the death of my said Executrix,

And my will is that after my debts legacyes and charges of funeryall be paid and defrayed, The residue of all my p[er]sonall estate, money, moveables, houshold (stuff) and Chattells, Also room in shifte to be made betwene me and my sonne Robert Dalley and otherwise I will wholy unto Mary Dalley my welbeloved wiffe, And she the said Marye to be my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament :

And in wittnesse thereof I the said Robert Dalley have hereunto sett my hand and seale Dated the Twelft daye of August in the fourteenth yere of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God Kinge of England Scotland France and Ireland defender of the faith &c. 1638

Robert Dally was buried at St. Lawrence, Godmersham, Kent on 24 Mar 1638/39.
Robert Dally married Mary Legget 29 Jun 1605 at Godmersham.
Daughter Susan Dally was baptised at Godmersham 27 Sep 1618; Son Robert Dally 29 Jun 1605.
