In the name of God Amen the eighth and twenty day of January in the ninth year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord the Kinge Charles by the grace of God Kinge of Ingland Scotland France and Ireland defender of the fayth &c [1633/4]
I John Dan of Marden in the County of Kent yeoman do ordayne and make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme followinge
Item I give and beqeith my soule to Almighty God my creator and redemer by whose p�scious blood shedinge I do perly trust and am fully perswaded that all my sines ar fully pardoned and forgiven and that at the last day I shall have a joyfoll resurection w�h my saviour Christ and my body to bee buried in the parish Church yeard of Marden

I give unto my toe daughters thirty pounds a peece to bee payd unto them at twenty yeares of age And if any of them dy the sorvivore to be the others executor

Itm I give unto my three sonns Robert John and Thomas Dan the house wherein I now dwell after my wifes decease and to bequally devided betwixt them and my wife to have the benifit of it durring her life

And my mind is that my house at the Mersyes caled colloms? too bee soulde for the payment of my daughters portons and the Remayndor thereof to goo for the payment of my dets
Reserved? allwayes that my Mother have her yearly Rent payd unto her durring her life

Itm I give all the Residew of my movable goods unto my wife whome I make my Executrix and likewise my three? brothers to be overseers unto this my last will
John Boule of Marden and Thomas Bishop of Horsmanden and Thos? Dan of Marden and my three overseers to helpe sell my tenament for the payment of the portions and dets aforsayd

Notes:
John son of John and Ellen DANN was baptised 1 Jun 1600. His father left a will in 1605.
His mother Ellen either died in 1638 or remarried to George Maplesden and died in 1639.

John married 23 Aug 1619 Elizabeth THORNTON.
There were possibly two John Danns having children baptised at Marden at this time. These are the most likely mentioned in the will.
