In the name of God, Amen, The 22 day of Marche In the yere of oure Lorde God Ml CCCCCxij [1512],
I, John Day of the p[ar]ishe of Stapulherst, with hoole mynde and good reme[m]braunce, make my last testament in this wise.
First I bequeith[e] my soule to God almyghty, to oure lady saynt Marie, and to all the saynt[es] of heven,
And my body to be buryd yn the churcheyarde of Alhalowe yn Stapulherst aforesaid.
Also I bequeith[e] to the high[e] auter in the churche of Stapulherst, for tithes forgoten[e], 12d.
It[e]m I bequeith[e] to the light of Saynt John[e] 4d.
It[e]m to the light of Saynt Xpofer [Christopher] 4d.
It[e]m to the light of Saynt Margarete 2d.

It[e]m I bequeith[e] to Richard my sonn a copull of Oxen, a baye geldyng and my craft.

The Residue of my good[es] not above bequeathed ne given I give to Joha[n]ne my wif, whome I make my trewe executrice, and she truly to paye my dett[es] and my bequestes and honestly to kepe my children[e].

Thise witnessith Richard Lokkyng preest, Roger Wostell, John Dunbere, with[e] other.

Probatum fuit suprascriptu[m] test[amentu]m xxviijo die mensis Ap[ri]lis Anno d[omi]ni Mill[es]imo qui[n]gentesimo tercio decimo
Ac approbat[um] etc
Co[m]missa[ue] fuit admi[ni]stratio o[mn]iu[m] etc executrici in eod[em] test[ament]o no[m]i[n]ate primitus in forma iuris iurat[e] etc

[This above-written will was proved on the 28th day of the month of April in the one thousand five hundred and thirteenth year of our Lord,
And approved etc.
And administration of all etc was committed to the executrix named in the same will, She being first sworn, in form of law, etc.]
