In the name of God Amen.
The fowrth day of Marche in the yere of our lorde God M vC fyfty and one, And in the 5th yere of the Reigne of Edward the sixte, by the grace of God, of England, Fraunce and Ireland, Kyng, defender of the faith, and supreme hedd of the churche of England and also of Ireland,
I, Symon Daye, of Asheforde in the countie of Kent, beyng sicke of bodie, but of good Reme[m]brance, thanckes be to allmightie God, make my last will and testament in maner and forme following.

Fyrste I bequeth my soule hole to allmightie God my maker and Redemer, and my bodie to be buried in the churchyard of Asheforde aforesaid, or elles where it shall please God.

Item I give and bequeth all suche goodes as I have in the countie of Kent, or elles where in a[n]ny other countie or shere, moveable or unmoveable, to Barbara Unfree, which Barbara I entende to have to wyfe yf it please God that I maye have my lyfe, paying my dettes and funerall expenc[es], whom I make sole myne Executrixe of this my p[rese]nt testament and laste will.

Wittnes to this Richard Randall, Robert Myllyngton and Thomas Colverhouse, with other mo[re].

[This present will was proved on the 19th day of the month of March in the fifth year of the reign of Edward VI, By the oaths of Richard Randall, Robert Millyngton and Thomas Culverhouse, the witnesses, And approved etc. The burden [of execution] was committed to the executrix etc. Given etc.]
