T[estamentu]m Joannć Day [The Will of Joan Day]
In the Name of God Amen, I, Joan Day, of Horsmanden in the County of Kent, Widdow, being weake in Body, but of sound memory and understanding, doe make and ordeine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth.
Imprimis I Co[m]mitt my Soule into the handes of Almighty God, trusting to be saved through his Mercy and the Merittes of Christ my Lord and Saviour.
Item I Co[m]mitt my Body to the Earth, to be buryed according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named.
Item my will is that my funerall Charges and Expences be deducted out of my whole Estate, which being done,

Item I give unto my eldest sonn Richard Day and to his heires forever All my part and share which I have in a certeine house situat and being in the Parish of Cranebrooke, with all the profittes of the said house which doe belong and apperteine to mee,
And I further give and bequeath to my said sonn Richard All my Plate and houshold Goodes and utensells,
And further give to my said sonn Richard the su[m]me of Twenty Powndes in money, To be paid by my Executor within Six Monethes after my decease.

Item I give to my sonn Joseph Day the su[m]me of Thirty Powndes.
Item I give to my youngest sonn Isaac Day the su[m]me of Fyfty Powndes To be paid by my Executor within Six Monethes after my decease.
I give also to my said sonn Isaac a Gold Ring.

Lastly I give and bequeath to my sonn Joseph Day afore menc[i]oned All the rest of my Estate not before given whome I make and Constitute the sole and only Executor of this my Will and Testament.

Probatum Londini fuit Testamentum suprascriptum vicesimo Primo die Mensis Julii Anno d[omi]ni Millesimo Sexcentesimo Septuagesimo Quinto Coram ven[er]abili viro Richardo Lloyd Legum Doctore Surrogato venerabilis et egregii viri domini Leolini Jenkyns Militis Legum etiam doctoris Curić Prćrogativć Cantuariensis Magistri Custodis sive Co[m]missarii legitime Constituti Juramento Josephi Day filii dictć defunctć et Executoris in huiusmodi Testamento nominati Cui Co[m]missa fuit Administratio omnium et singulorum Bonorum Jurium et Creditorum dictć defunctć de bene et fideliter administrando eadem ad sancta dei Evangelia in debita Juris forma Jurat[o]

[The abovewritten will was proved at London on the twenty first day of the month of July in the one thousand six hundred and seventy fifth year of our Lord, Before the worshipful Richard Lloyd, Doctor of Laws, Surrogate of the worshipful and distinguished Sir Leoline Jenkyns, Knight, also Doctor of Laws, Master, Keeper or Commissary, lawfully constituted, of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, By the oath of Joseph Day, the son of the said deceased, and the executor named in the will, To whom was committed administration of all and singular the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased, he being sworn, on God’s holy evangelists, in due form of law, well and faithfully to administer the same.]
