Inprimis I give and bequeath unto my Brothers Daye Robert Daye, Stephen Daye,
Stephen Daye, and George Daye the su[m]me of five shillings a peece of lawfull English mony,
and unto my Sister Frances Daye the like su[m]me of five shillings of like lawfull English mony,
to be paid to them respectively by my said Executrix within six monthes next after my decease.
Item (my debts, legacyes, funerall expences, and the probate of this my will being faithfully paid and discharged) I give and bequeath all and singular the Residue of my goodes, chattelles, householdstuffe, mony and debts owing to me unto my loveing Mother Mary Daye of Egerton aforesaid, widow, to and for her onely proper use benifitt and behoofe.
Item I make, constitute and ordaine my s[ai]d Mother Mary Daye sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament.
In Witnesse whereof I, the s[ai]d William Day (revokeing all other and former wills) have
hereunto sett my hand and seale.

[This above-written will, of William Daye deceased, Was proved on the third day of May 1686, Before Master John Stockard, clerk, lawful surrogate of the worshipful Thomas Bouchier, Doctor of Laws, Commissary General, correctly and lawfully deputed, of the City and Diocese of Canterbury, By the oath of Mary Day, the mother etc of the said deceased, and the executrix named in the same will, And approved in respect thereof etc, And [administration of the goods] of whom etc was committed to the said executrix, she having been first sworn, on [God�s] holy etc, Saving the right etc.]
