Item I give to my Brother Michael Deane one shilling.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Deane the sum of fifteen pounds of
lawful money of Great Britain.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother Edward Deane the sum of thirty pounds of
like lawful money.
And I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth Pawley, the wife
of George Pawley of Eynsford in the said County of Kent, Yoeman, the sum of twenty
pounds of like lawfull money.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Sister Catherine the wife of Davis Deane of Crouch in
the Parish of Wrotham in the said County of Kent Yeoman the sum of five pounds of
like lawful money.
Also to my Sister Sarah Latter, the wife of John Latter of Tunbridge in the said County
of Kent I Give and bequeath the sum of five pounds of like lawful money.
Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother William Deane the sum of one hundred pounds
of like lawful money,
All which said several Legacies I direct to be paid by my Excecutor within twelve
months next after my decease---
Also I give and bequeath unto my Niece Rebecca Latter Daughter of my Sister Sarah Latter
the sum of fifty pounds of lawful money of
Great Britain to be paid to her when she attains her age of twenty one years or day
of marriage which shall first happen and in the meantime I direct the same to be
placed out at Interest in the name of my Executor and the interest from time to time
arising therefrom to be paid out and applied towards finding her cloths during her minority.
Also all my linen I give to the said Rebecca Deane and my said Sister Elizabeth
Pawley equally to be divided between them share and share alike.
Also I give devise and bequeath all that any Messuage or Tenement with the Lands & Buildings and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lyingout being at or near West Yoak in the said Parish of Ash and now or late in my own occupation my undertenants or Assigns unto to my Brother Thomas Deane to hold to him, his Heirs and Assigns forever subject to the payment of the aforesaid Legacies.
Also all the rest residue and remainder of my household goods and furniture live and dead
stock and all other, my real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give
and bequeath unto my brother Thomas Deane And I do hereby appoint my said brother Thomas
Deane Sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking and declaring
to be void all former and other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made and
do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament IN WITNESS whereof I the said
James Deane the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal this seventh day of
June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven,

This Will proved at Rochester on the 17th day of August 1797 before the Rev. Arnold Carter Clerk and surrogate by the Oath of Thomas Deane the brother of the deceased sole executor in the said will named to whom was granted administration he having been first sworn in duly to administer
