In the Name of God Amen I Jacob Dekewer the elder of Sandwich in the Countie of Kent Merchant being weak of bodie but of sound and perfect memorie and being desireous to settle and dispose of that estate God hath lent me doe make and ordain this to be my Last Will and testament in manner following
First I commit my Soule to God who gave it trusting alone for Salvation in and by Jesus Christ And my bodie to the earth whereof it was framed to be buried at the Discretion of my Executrix hereafter named

I give to the poore of the Duch Congregation in Sandwich the Summe of twentie Shillings of Lawfull English money
And twentie Shillings I Likewise give for and toward the Minister of the Duch Congregation aforesaid to be paid within Six weekes after my decease

Also I give and bequeath to my Sonn Peter and my daughter Sarah Five and twentie pounds a peece of Lawfull English monie to be paid to them and either of them at their daie of marriage respectivelie and not before by my Executrix hereafter named

And I will and give to Elizabeth my loving wife after my debts and other Expences shalbe paid and Legacies before given All Other my estate reale and personall whatsoever and wheresoever for and dureing her naturall Life she keeping herself a widow

And after her decease I will bequeath and give the same to my sonnes Jacob Dekewer John Dekewer Peter Dekewer and to my daughters Marie Dekewer and Sarah Dekewer equallie to be divided betwixt them

And I doe make nominate & appoint the said Elizabeth my wife to be the Executrix of this my Last Will and testament
Also my will and meaning is that in case my said wife shall marrie or be married after my decease that then after my said Legacies before given of Five and twentie pounds a peece to my sonn Peter and my daughter Sarah shalbe paid and my debts discharged that all other my said Estate before given to my said wife immediately before her marriage shalbe divided and shared betwixt my said wife and All my Children that is to saie one full half thereof to my said wife the other half to & among my sonnes Jacob John and Peter and my daughters Marie and Sarah that is to saie part and part alike equallie

And I Doe hereby revoke and make void all former wills by me heretofore made In witnes whereof I the said Jacob Dekewer have to this my Last Will and testament my hand and seale set and put this Nine & twentieth daie of August in the yere of our Lord one thowsand six hundred Fiftie and five Jacob Dekewer
