This is the last Will and Testament of me John De Lannoy of the City of Canterbury Gentleman
I do most humbly commend my Soul to Almighty God my Creator trusting to obtain life Eternal through the Merits and Mediation of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executor and Executrix hereinafter named and as to and concerning such temporal Estate wherewith it has pleased Almighty God to bless me I do hereby Give and dispose thereof in manner following (that is to say)

I Give and bequeath all the Dividends Interest and Yearly Produce of all my Stock and Property in the Consolidated Annuities Payable at the Bank of England and of all my Capital Stock of the Million Bank and of all such other Stocks and Property and of all monies which at the time of my decease I shall be intitled to in any other of the Public Stocks or Funds of this Kingdom or upon Mortgage or otherwise together with the Interest and Yearly Produce of all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate and effects whatsoever unto Martha Sophia De Lannoy the Wife of my Son Thomas De Lannoy and to the Child and Children of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy which she now hath or hereafter my have by my said Son Thomas De Lannoy her Husband to be paid or applied for the maintenance of herself and the said Children for and during the term of her natural life of her the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy if she shall (in case of the death of the said Thomas De Lannoy her Husband) so long remain a Widow and unmarried

And from and after the decease or marrying again of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy which soever shall first happen then I Give and bequeath All my Stock and Property in the said Annuities and Million Bank and all such other Stocks and Property and all monies which at the time of my decease I shall be intitled to in any other of the Public Stocks or Funds of this Kingdom or upon Mortgage or otherwise and also all the rest and residue of my Personal Estate and effects whatsoever unto such Child and Children of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy which she now hath or hereafter my have by my said Son Thomas De Lannoy her Husband and which shall or may be living at the time of the death or Marriage again of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy equally to be divided among such Children if more than one and if but one then to such one wholly

and if it shall happen that all and every such Children of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy by the said Thomas De Lannoy her Husband shall die and depart this life before they or some or one of them shall become intitled to my Personal Estate as aforesaid then from and after the death or marrying again of the said Martha Sophia De Lannoy (which shall first happen) I Give and bequeath the same unto him my said Son Thomas De Lannoy if he shall be then living or to my then next of kin if he my said Son Thomas De Lannoy shall be then dead

also I do make constitute and appoint him my said Son Thomas De Lannoy and the said Martha Sophia his Wife Executor and Executrix of my last Will and Testament also I do revoke and make void all former and other Wills and Testaments whatsoever by me heretofore made and I do hereby publish and declare these presents to be and contain my only last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said John De Lannoy have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight _ John De Lannoy
