The Will if God will of John Demarr of the Towne of Sandwich in the County of Kent Mariner now belonging to their Majesties Shipp Reserve Capt Richard Kegwin Commander being in my perfect memory and sences First I will and bequeath my Soule unto God which gave it And my body unto the earth from whence it was taken in assured hopes of Resurrection

Alsoe I will and bequeath unto Mary my deare loveing and lawfull wife all my pay which I shall have due to mee onboard the abovesaid ship

Alsoe I will that my bed rugg and pillow with my watchcoate and silver laced wastcoatt one plush paire of breeches two handkercheifs one cravat one paire of stockings all which things if the abovesaid shipp bee laid up at Portsmouth or Chatham I will may bee sould at the Mast and the money which they shall for to bee given to my wife
but if the shipp should bee laid up at Deptford or Woolwich I will that my Cloathes bee given to her as they are and not to bee sould at the Mast
all which things I will may bee left in the hands of my welbeloved freinds Lawrence Coocke and Thomas Fairehall

And this to bee my last Will and Testament As Witnesse my hands and seale this sixteenth day of August in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty and Nine John Demarr
