Dated: 15 March 1573
In the name of God Amen, the fifteenth day of March in the year of our Lord God one thousand five hundred three skore and thirteen. I James Dene of the parish of Kingstone by ....?? in the countie of Kent, yeoman, being whole of body and perfect of remembrance ....?? I thank God. I do make this my absolute testament and Last Will in manner and form following.
First, I bequeathe my soule to Almighty God the ?? and ?? of the ?? and my body to be buried in the churchyard of the parish of Kingstone aforesaid ??? unto the ?? of my father, and of all the worldly goods, lands that God hath endowed me withall. I give and bequeathe it thereafter ???.

First I bequeath to the church of Kingstone aforesaid three shillings and four pence of ?? money of England.
Item, I give unto the poor people of ?? and parish of Kingstone ?? pence.
Item, I give unto Agnes my wife all my moveable goods.

Item, I give and bequeath my Tenement in the parish of Kingstone aforesaid called Marley and all my lands hereunto belonging and all ?? my ?? tenements and all the lands hereunto belonging lying in ??? ??? and all my tenements in the parish of ??? and all my lands to them belonging ?? all lmy lands in ?? and all my lands ?? where ?? the ?? of ?? I give to Agnes my wife aforesaid ??? To all the tenements aforesaid and all ?? my sonne Thomas ??
And after his death, I will that all the lands and tenements aforesaid shall ?? to Agnes Yonge my daughter for the term of her life ??? following, that is to say that she the said Agnes Yonge ?????? Sonne Thomas Dene ??? and ???? For his body both in ?????? ??????? ??????? his wife
and after the decease of Agnes Young my daughter I will that all said lands and tenements aforesaid shall go to Vincent Young and William Yonge my daughter Agnes Yonge�s too sonnes and to the heirs? of their bodies lawfully begotten forever, and ??? Thomas my sonne to ?? Agnes Young my daughter then I will that the said Vincent Yonge and William Yonge her too sonnes shall have and may ??? Thomas Dene my sonne in ?? full and ample manner ??? aforesaid ??? his wife

Item, I give unto Isabelle Yonge my daughters daughter ??? pounds of ??? money of England to be paid unto her the day of her marriage.
Item, I give unto Agnes Yonge ??? aforesaid ??? pounds of ??? money of England to be paid unto the said Agnes at the day of her marriage.

And if Agnes my wife ..... Will and Testament, I make and ordain Agnes Dene my wife sole executrix and I make my ??? John Nethersole ..... my ..... and to him I give for his pains? eight shillings of lawful? money of England to be paid to him ??? after my decease in ???????? I set my hand ?? the day and ??? written and confirmed in the ???? of these ?????? Be written by me ????
