This is the last will of me the aforesaid Thomas a Denne of Kingston made the [blank] day of the month of [blank] aforesaid in the year of the reign of King Henry VII.
First I will that Agnes my wife have my tenement in Kingston aforesaid and all manner of stuff thereto belonging with
all the lands to the said tenement pertaining & being within the aforesaid parish of Kingston. A close called Peamested & another close
named Great Broughton & another called Little Bro[u]ghton lying and being in the parish of Upper Hardres. And also the lands known by the
names of Stoneway & Dusking with the lands that were Thomas Tylneyis’ lying in Outelmeston [a borough within the parish of Barham]
with the appurts lying & being within the parish of Stelling & Barham to have and hold the aforesaid tenements & lands to him ?to time
Thomas Grannte the son of John Grannte of the town of Sandwich came to the ?rent of £22 a year;
And then I will that the aforesaid Thomas Grannte shall occupy and enter into the said tenements & lands with the appurts to him his heirs
& his assigns for & under the following conditions:
the said Thomas shall pay or do make to be paid to the said Agnes my wife yearly during her natural life £5 6s 8d of lawful money of
England; And that the said Thomas shall permit & suffer the aforesaid Agnes my wife as long as she shall live sole & unmarried to occupy
those upper chambers set in the West part of the hall in the said tenement of Kingston with free giving & passage to the said chambers &
also into the kitchen at her ease and need & when she so will; Also I will that my wife have within 12 months after my decease 10 pounds
more of lawful money of England to be paid to her or her Assignes;
Also I will that Agnes my wife shall deliver or do make to be delivered to the aforesaid Thomas Grannte my .... ... godson when he cometh to the age of 22 years: my horse ?”pria the pea”(=to the value of? perhaps?) 26s 8d; my kene (cows/cattle) pria the pea 6s 8d & 10 hogs priae the pea 14d; Also 10 quarts of wheat; 20 quarts of Barley; ? cups of pod ware (peans/beans?) … the ?uppe 3 ? … 5 quarts of oats;

from the term of St Michael the archangel next to & to the end & term of my year next then following be complete, he being the rent &

Also I will that John Grannte occupy & have the lands which I hold to term of Gregory Hory(?Hary) to the end & time of 3 years of
which lands I for the said terms & years I have paid for the term in manner & form following that is to say
he had of me 6 ?”sterne” pria the pea 12s; And also 2 ?steers? pria 20s which same ?”gedaryd” together is £4 12s;
Also & if so be the said Gregory Hory will abs?in and keep such covenants of bargain made between him & me of & upon the said lands
than I will that the said John Grannte have & hold the same lands to him his heirs & assigns forever, paying to the said Gregory Hary the
sum of £26 13s 4d of the which sum the covenants --- & bargain kept I have paid to the same Gregory £14 13s 4d;
Also I will that my executors shall ordain all manner of armaments & clothing belonging to an ?”Anter Nt a masseboke a Chales” 2 vestments “alber” with the apparel 1 vestment for the principal days & another for other days to the value of £12 to desire in the Chapel of our Lady within the parish church of Kingston for a priest that shall sing there for my soul my friends and all Eastern souls
the Residue of all my goods, my debts & bequests paid and fulfilled I give & bequeath to John Crippis the younger my son & John Grannte
whom with John Assherste & Thomas Nethersole I make & ordain my executors of this my testament & last will,

Thomas A Denne, who died in the Diocese of Canterbury, approving the forewritten text of his testament … administration being granted
(many words written over or above text between lines) … of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury … administration of all and singular the
goods to John Crippis (Crispe) & John Grannte; Thomas Nethersole & John Assherste executors named in the last will … In all things of the
official signed testimonial of ?posthumous assigned date Canterbury day & year as written above
