In the name of God Amen the xixth [19th] daye of Decembre in the third yeare of the reigne of our Sovraigne Lorde Edwarde the sixthe [1549] by the grace of God of ynglande fraunce and Irland King defender of the faythe and in eche of the church of yngland and Irland the supreme he[a]d
I John A Denne of Langley in the Countye of Kente Yeoman beyng p[er]fecte and of good memorye thancks be God make and ordeigne this my presente testamente and Laste will in maner and (forme) folowing
Fyrste I bequethe my Soule to almightie God and my body to be buryed in the churche yeard of Langley aforesayde

Item I bequethe to the highe aulter ther(e) for my tythese forgotten viijd
Item I bequethe to fower men to beare my bodye to the churche to evry one of them iiijd
Item I bequethe to evry one of my godchildren xijd
Item I bequethe to John Hale, Edmunde Jenkyns, Dorothe Taurle, wydowe, John Levenothe, Rychard Hunte and Alyce Love to every of them iiijd

Item I bequethe to Johane Bishope my Systers Daughter xxs
Item I bequethe to Anne Waller my Systers daughter xxs
Item I bequethe to Johane Woode my Syster vjli xiijs iiijd [£6 13s 4d] to be payd owte of my Landes and ten[emen]tes wt thapprtenncs [with the appurtenances] yearlye durying her Lif towards her fyndyng

Item I gyve and will to Thomas Tylden my systers sonne and to his heires for ever all my Lands and tentes Sette and lyeng above the hill
Item I gyve and will to Jaymes Tylden my systers sonne and to his heires for ever all my Lands and tentes Sette and lyeng benethe the hill in Fryttenden, Biddynden, Hedcorn and Warehorne
Item I bequethe and gyve to the sayde Thomas Tylden my Systers son all my goods as well moveable as unmoveable Corne Cattall and stuf[f] to se[e] therwythe my debts wythin one yeare after my decease

Item I will unto Babedge Barnes my Sarvannte in pence and penyworthes xxs to be payde wtin iijre yeares nexte after my decease That ys to saye evry yeare vjs viiijd unto the saide xxs be fully contented and payde
Item I will ther(e) be geven unto poore people by the discrecon of myne executrix xs

Item I will that my brother Thomas Austen se[e] that myne executrix do paye theis my bequethes to the poore as aforesayd wtin one yeare nexte after my decease to whome I will for his Labor and paynes ther(e)in taken viijs vjd whiche Remaignethe in his owne hands
Item I will ther(e) be bestowed at my buryall and at my monesdaye [month's day] in masses, dirige and other charytable deades by the discrecon of myne executrix xvjs viijd

Item I will that Emlyne my wyf shall kepe one yearely obyte of viijs the yeare durying the hole terme of her Lif to praye for my Soule and xpian [Christian] soules
The Resydue of my moveable goods my dettes and Legacies and my funrall expences contented and payd I do gyve unto Emilyne my wif whome I do ordeigne and constytute my true and faythfull executrix of this my Laste will and testamente
And Thomas Austen my brother thovrsear [the overseer] of the same
