Michael Denne yeoman of Ickham written the 25th day of August [36th yr of R of E:R I =1593]
to be buried in the parish church of Ickham
To the poor of Ickham parish 26 s 8 d

Unto Mychaell Tibbold my daughter Margery[‘s] sonne on[e] twelmontingn heyffer
Unto Mychaell Forstall my daughter Mary[‘s] sonne one twelmonting heyffer
Unto William Denne my sonne the silver goblet that my sister first did give me and £5
Unto Thomas Denne my sonne acowe at Wemlingweld and atonwyering heyffer at Hearne & a plowe, a joined bedstedle w’th a featherbed and Bowlster … & six pair of sheets
Itm quarters of wheate & 5 quarters of barley & a joined bed stedle w’th a featherbed & a boulster ... & 6 pair of sheets

Itm I will unto Richard Denne my soone on[e] joined bedstedle w’th a featherbed & a boulster ... & 6 pair of sheets & 5 ewes
Itm I will unto Katerin Elnar? [?should be Neame?] my daughter one cowe that her husband hath

my debts & legaces being first paide & my funeral expenses discharged I will unto Margaret my wife whom I make sole executrix of this my last will & testament
and if Margaret my seyd wife dye before me then my will is that John Denne and Richard Denne my sonnes shalbe my executors and shall have all the moveable goods and chattells that I willed unto Margaret my wife
& my will is that they pay unto my 3 daughters Margery, Mary & Katerin £5 each
I make Valentine Austine of Ad[i]sham the overseer I give him 20s for his paynes

This is the last will of me the seyd Michaell Denne – lande & Tenements

First I will unto Margaret my wife my mansion house wherein I enhabite with all barnes stables edifices & buildings & the lands tenements & heredits which I lately purchased of Francys Rutland gent for terme of her lyfe
and after her decease I will my sayd mansion house barnes stables dedifices & buildings and all lands & tenements heredits Unto John Denne my son and to his heyres males
& for default of such yssue unto Thomas Denne my sonne & his heirs males
& by default etc then to Richard Denne my sonne

provide that my sons shall be bound on the conditions following that John or my right heir pay my son Thomas Denne 100 markes at the church porch of Ickham yf lawfully demanded & also upon the condition that said Thomas Denne be paid £16 13s 4d after the decease of my sayd wife
& upon condition that my son Richard Denne have to him paid by the said John my son the sum of £16 13s 4d

Itm I will unto my son Richard Denne my house and lands with appurts of Ickham Myll in Ickham which I purchased of Mathew Goodhewe
