I give and bequeath one hundred pounds in money thereof to my son Michael Denn to be
paid him at his full age of one and twenty years
and also I give and bequeath one hundred marks
thereof in money to my son William(?) Denne to be paid him at his full age of one and twenty years
and to have such reasonable allowance from my Executor for their maintenance in the meantime as
shall be met
and all the rest I solely and wholly give and bequeath to my loving wife Margaret Denne
whom I do make my full and only Executor of this my last Will and Testament and yet with and under
this condition that she do put in good security within one month next after my decease to my well
beloved and good brother John Denne of Ickham in the said County of Kent, yeoman by sufficient
bond in the sum of four hundred pounds for the true and ? payment of my said legacies to my said two
sons in manner and form as is aforesaid.
Otherwise I wholly discharge her of having any doing or
intermedling with this my will and Executorship of the same and then I constitute and ordain my said
brother John Denne my whole and only Executor of this my last Will and Testament and for such
meddling as my said wife shall make in the meantime I will she shall be accountable of to my said
brother and then upon her failing of putting in such security as is aforesaid I only will and bequeath
unto her the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid her by my said brother being then my Executor
within one quarter of a year next after my decease
and if my said wife do perform the condition
aforesaid then yet I make my said brother John Denne the overseer of this my last Will and Testament
and do not doubt of my ? true and faithful performance of the trust I do leave her in touching my said
two sons and hers and if she does not perform the said condition then my ? is without all doubt that my
said brother will do it most faithful and in the good opinion that I have in either of them I am in good
peace I thank the Lord and in witness that this is my last Will and Testament I have set my sign and
seal unto the same containing two sheets of paper and unto either sheet the day and year first above
