Item I give unto Mary West wife of Robert West my kinswoman the sum of twenty pounds presently after my decease. But my will is that the said twenty pounds shall remain in the hands of the Mayor of the City of Canterbury for the time being and the ? thereto by them to be put out to the most and best advantage and the profit thereof coming to be paid to the said Robert West and Mary his wife during the life of the said Robert and after his decease then I will the said twenty pounds to be delivered by the said Mayor and comminantly to the said Mary her own proper use and behalf
now I will unto Robert West and John West sons of the said Mary twenty pounds equally to be divided between them but my will also is that the said twenty pounds shall remain in the hands of the Mayor of Canterbury and cominalty of the City of Canterbury aforesaid for the time being and by them to be put out to the best advantage and the profit thereof coming to be paid to the said Mary towards their bringing up and when they come to years of discretion to be put out to be apprentices and to give their several portions before bequeathed unto them as they shall attain to their several ages of one and twenty years.
Item now I give unto the said Mary my best flock bed one bolster two pillows one pair of blankets my coverlet red and green three pairs of sheets on pair of pillow beeres(?) one of my best tablecloths half a dozen of napkins one of my best towels my brass pot two posnetts my biggest and my best my biggest kettle one trunk my little table two wine ? my biggest chair two platters two small pewter dishes and one pewter candlestick.
Item I give unto Mary Davies my sister thirty pounds be paid unto her within one month
next after my decease.
Item I give to Robert ? my godson son of my said sister Mary forty pounds to be
paid unto him six weeks next after my decease.
Item I give unto Elizabeth Rice(?) my goddaughter forty shillings to be paid unto her
presently after my decease.
All the residue of my goods
unbequeathed I will and bequeath unto Margaret Turley(?) my kinswoman whom I make sole
Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
the day and year first above written. The mark of the said ? read declared and published to be the last

Item I give unto the poor people of Ickham twenty shillings.
Item I give unto the poor of Wingham twenty shillings to be paid to each
parish within six days after my death.

A codicil nuncumpative to be annexed to the last Will and Testament of Margaret Denn widow late of
the Parish of Wingham deceased by her witnessed and declared with an intent and purpose that it
should stand for a part of her last Will and Testament before by her made in writing the night before
her death she being then of perfect and good memory in these words following or the like in effect viz.
She the said Margaret Denn being requested to bestow something on Alice Pattison her maid servant
said that she did give her her best hat her best gown two ? woolsey aprons and two pieces of new cloth
for the ? of Affra Stephens and Rose Summers.
