Item I give and bequeath unto William Den son of my brother Michael Den
the sum of ten pounds to be paid him by my Executrix at his age of three and twenty years.
Item I give
and bequeath unto Margaret Den daughter of my said brother Michael Den the sum of ten pounds to be
paid her by my Executrix at her age of one and twenty years
and my mind and will is that if my wife be
? ? that then I give and bequeath to it the sum of one hundred pounds of lawful money of England to be
paid it at its age of one and twenty years by my Executrix.
Item I give and bequeath to the poor of the Parish of the said Brookland twenty shillings to be paid them at four equal times at the discretion of my Executrix.
All the residue of my moveable goods and chattels ? ? I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Katherine whom I make my sole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament she paying my debts and legacies and defraying my burial expenses
and as concerning my tenement and lands in
Chilham or elsewhere in the County of Kent I give and bequeath unto Katherine my wife during her
natural life and if she be witness(?) now at the making of this my will I give the said tenements and
lands unto the ? therefore(?) now ? ? if she ? now ? and to its heirs for ever.
And if she be not now
witness upon after her decease I give and bequeath the said tenements and lands in Chilham unto
William Den aforesaid my cousin and to his heirs for ever and if the said William Den shall enjoy my
said lands then I will that he shall pay unto my aforesaid cousin Margaret Den the sum of thirty pounds
to be paid her ? after the said William shall be ? thereof.
In witness whereof that this is the last Will and
Testament of me the said William Den made and declared the day and year aforesaid I the said William
Den have hereunto set my hand and seal in the presence of. Witnesses present.
