First I give and
bequeath unto my loving brother Jonathan Denne of Littlebourne aforesaid the sum of twenty pounds
of lawful money of England to be paid unto him within five months next after my decease by my
Executrix or Executor hereafter mentioned.
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Boys of
Littlebourne aforesaid widow the sum of three pounds of like lawful money of England to be paid unto
her within three months next after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto the poor of the Parish of
Littlebourne aforesaid the sum of twenty shillings to be paid unto them within one month next after my
decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Denne and to my loving daughter
Hester Smith all my household stuff and furniture of my house ? to be equally divided between them
and my will is that my wife should take which ? she pleases when it is divided.
All the rest of my goods
chattels and personal estate whatsoever my debts legacies and funeral expenses being first paid I give
and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne and to my ? son Alexander Smith whom I do hereby
nominate and appoint to be Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and annexed my seal this two and twentieth day of November in
the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred forty and five. David Denne. Signed sealed published
