I nominate constitute and appoint my well beloved sister Elizabeth Denne spinster sole and only Executrix. Now touching my worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I give and dispose thereof as follows.
And first I give and forgive unto my nephew David Denne son of my late
brother David Denne late of Ham aforesaid yeoman deceased at his age of one and twenty years and
not before the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of England which is secured unto
me by my said late brother David Denne deceased onto certain marshland containing nine acres ? or
thereabouts lying in the Parish of Sholden in the said County at or near a place there called the Rang(?)
and out of eight acres and a half of arable lands or thereabout lying and being in the Parish of Eastry in
the said County together with all my estate right title and interest of in and to the said lands.
And until
my said nephew shall attain his said age of one and twenty years my will and mind is and I do hereby
give and bequeath unto my sister and Executrix Elizabeth Denne the yearly rent or profit of the said
one hundred and fifty and in default of payment thereof it shall and may be lawful for my said sister
and Executrix Elizabeth Denne to take such lawful course for recovery thereof as if I were then living
and to take course for recovery thereof.
Also I give and bequeath unto my two brothers James Bunce(?)
and Thomas Bunce and to either of them the sum of thirty pounds apiece of lawful money of England
to be paid unto them and either of them within six months next after my decease.
Also I give and
further bequeath unto my said nephew David Denne son of my said late brother David Denne at his
said age of one and twenty years the sum of one hundred pounds of like lawful money of England to be
paid unto him by my said sister and Executrix.
All the rest and residue of my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever (my debts legacies in this my will bequeathed funeral charges and probate of this my will being first paid and deducted) I give and bequeath unto my said well beloved sister and Executrix Elizabeth Denne.
This is the last Will and Testament of the said Valentine Denne made and declared the said six and twentieth day of February in the said year of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty eight touching the disposing of my messuage lands and tenements hereafter mentioned (that is to say) and first I give and devise all that my messuage barn buildings and lands thereunto belonging with their appertuances situate lying and being in the Parish of Wye in the County of Kent at or near a place there called Nackhole and containing about thirty acres of land more or less now or late in the occupation of one ? Earles(?) given unto me by my late mother Elizabeth Denne, widow deceased together with all other my messuages lands tenements and hereditaments in the said County of Kent unto my said sister and Executrix Elizabeth Denne to be had and held unto my said sister Elizabeth Denne her heirs and assigns for ever.
In witness whereof to this my last Will and Testament in two sheets of paper
contained to either sheet thereof my hand and seal have set. Dated the day and year first above written.
