Item, I give to the poor of the parish of Bishopsbourne aforesaid twenty shillings to be distributed
amongst them by my Executrix within one month next after my decease.
Item, I give to my oldest sonne William Denne two tables the one now standing in the hall
of my now dwelling house and the other in the parlor of the same with all the ... forms
belonging to the said tables and my great chest standing against the window of the chamber of
my new dwelling house which said goods I do hereby give to my said sonne William to ... and ... the same
may remain and continue in my manor house called Bursted aforesaid I having by goods already
settled the same and the lands thereto belonging upon my said sonne William upon his marriage.
Item, I give unto my sonnes Thomas Vincent? Edward and John Denne and to my daughter Katherine Denne and to every of them one pair of sheets to be delivered to them at first tymes as my loving wife shall think fit.
Item, I give bequeath to my daughter Katherine Denne the full sum of one hundred pounds
of good and lawful money of England to be paid out of my .... that I shall leave at the time of
my decease by my loving wife and Executrix hereinafter named to be paid to my said daughter
when she shall attain her age of eighteen years or be married which shall first happen.
Also I give to my said daughter Katherine twenty shillings in money to buy her a ring with a
deaths head to mourn ... and to be delivered unto her at her age aforesaid or day of marriage
which shall first happen.
Residue of my goods, chattels, ... and now for all of that not by ... and bequeathed I give and
bequeath to my dear and loving wife Mary after my death and legacies shall be satisfied
and I do hereby constitute and appoint my said loving wife to be my full and sole Executrix of
this my Last Will and Testament.
And if it please God she happen to die before the same be fully performed, then I do make and
appoint my sonnes Thomas and Vincent Denne executors of this my will, requiring them
jointly and severly to ... the same. Truly performed in all things according to my ... intent
and meaning herein declared and ... hereby referring full power to my said wife to give and
dispose of my linen and household goods to and amongst my children in such manner and at such
times as she shall ... so fit and as my said children shall best deserve at her hands.
And I do hereby desire and appoint my loving ... John ..... of Minster in the Isle of Thanet and John Stroud of Elham in the County of Kent to be overseers of this my Will and I desire them to be assisting and advising to my Executrix and Executors before named in the operation of this my Will and I do hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time hereafter made or declared.
This is the Last Will and Testament of me the aforesaid Thomas Denne made, published,
and declared this day, and year first above written .... of all my lands, tenements,
hereditaments not .... by me by deed. First my mind and will is that my
dear and loving wife Mary shall hold and enjoy during her natural life one annuity or yearly
rent charge of five pounds per Anno ... guaranteed to her for an interval of her ....

And my will and meaning is that all such sum and summs of money as I hereby my deed ...
to all or any of my children out of any of my Lands and tenements be ......
Satisfied and paid according to the true meaning of such deed or deeds by which the same

Item, I give and devise unto my sonns Thomas Denn and Vincent Denn all that my messuage with the appurtenance situate and being in Great Hardres in the County of Kent at or near to a .... there called Lin? With the barn stable, .... buildings Gardens, orchards, and yard thereto belonging .... all the several parcel and parcels of land, ... and woods therewith enjoyed .... in all by .....
