First I give and bequeath unto my three daughters Catherine, Elizabeth and Ann the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawful money of England to every of them to be paid unto them by my Executors at their respective ages of one and twenty years or days of marriage which of them shall first happen and it is my will and meaning that my said three daughters shall be ... and maintained by my dear and well beloved wife Catherine during their respective minority or until their respective marriages by and out of this interest provided and profit to be made and out of these said .... and payable to them respectfully.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife Catherine four of my ... which I shall have at
the time of my decease to be taken at the direction of my said wife and also my .... and all
things hereunto belonging and all the furniture in the loft chamber of my now dwelling house.
Item all the rest of my goods and personal effects no in this my will I devise disposed of after
my ... and funeral charges are paid and ..... I give and bequeath unto my sonnes
Thomas Denn and John Denn equally divided betwixt them.
Item I make and appoint my
said dear wife Catherine and my cousin John Denn the elder of Littlebourne, in the county
of Kent, yeoman, Executors of this my last will and testament and for my said cousin to
be taken I give him the sum of five pounds of lawful money of England.
But if it shall happen
my said wife shall after my decease marry again then it is my will that she shall forfeit and
loose this benefit of executorship of this my will and from thereforth I make my said cousin
John Denn sole executor of this my will and I do will and appoint my said wife then to deliver
into the hands and possession of this said John Denn all my personal effects before given
unto my said wife. And it is my further will that my said wife shall ... bound unto my said cousin
John Denn by bond in this penalty of five hundred pounds of lawful money of England for this
fine performance of this my will in all things on her parts to be performed.
Item, I give and bequeath unto this my said wife Catherine and her assigns for and during her
natural life if she shall so long live a widow and unmarried .... and four acres of land more or
less lying and being in the parish of Littlebourne aforesaid now or late in the occupation of
Thomas Coller or of his assigns.
And from and after this death of my said wife or other determination of her efforts in the said
.... lands, I give and devise this farm ... and land and ... unto my sons Thomas Denn and John
Denn their heirs and assigns forever equally to be divided between them as tenants in
common and not as joint tenants.
Item, I give and devise unto my said sonnes Thomas and
John their heirs and assigns forever equally to be divided between them as tenants in
common and not as joint tenants all other my
.... lands and tenements and .... being in the said county of Kent.
In witness whereof I this said Henry Denn have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this twentieth day of February Anno 1696, Henry Denn sighed sealed and published and declared by this .... Henry Denn to be this last will and testament.
