I give devise and bequeath all that my messuage or tenement buildings orchards garden land and appertuances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Great Mongeham in the said County of Kent and now in the occupation Stephen Rodman or his assigns unto my daughter Elizabeth Denne and to her heirs and assigns for ever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Mary during the term of her natural life the rents issues and profits of all my leasehold tenements and premises in Deal and also the use and benefit of all my household goods and personal estate whatsoever she keeping my said messuage and tenement in repair.
Item I give and bequeath (after my wife�s decease) all my tenement or dwellinghouse buildings and ground with the appertuance situate and being in Deal aforesaid and now in my own occupation unto my said daughter Elizabeth and my daughter Anna Denne their executors administrators and assigns.
Item I give and bequeath (after my wife�s decease) all that
tenement and dwellinghouse building workhouse and ground thereto belonging with the
appertuances situate and being in Deal aforesaid now in the occupation of Thomas Hoyle,
Tallow Chandler unto my daughter Mary (wife of the said Thomas Hoyle) and her assigns
during the term of her natural life and afterwards to her four children Elizabeth, Mary, Anne
and Margaret Young their executors administrators and assigns.
And whereas the ground
belonging to my messuages in my occupation constraineth(?) in breadth from north to south
thirty two feet I give part of the said ground containing ten feet in breadth from north to south
for a passageway to the workhouse aforesaid unto my said daughter Mary for her life and
afterwards to her said four children their executors administrators and assigns to belong to the
said messuage given them for ever the which said ground for a passageway abuts to a wall in
the ? of Thomas Hoyle south and to my said ground north and to the ? Street west.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Elizabeth Denne and her assigns during the term of her natural life one annuity or yearly sum of three pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be issuing and payable out of the rents and profits of the said messuage ground and premises hereby given to my said daughter Mary and her children to be paid to my said daughter Elizabeth quarterly at the four usual quarter days in the year free of all taxes and charges whatsoever and my express mind and will is that the said messuage ground and premises shall stand chargeable with the same during the life of my said daughter Elizabeth in case default of payment shall be made in the same it shall and may be lawful for my said daughter Elizabeth her assigns to enter into and upon the said messuage and premises and to distrain for the same and first(?) expel and then out of possession any tenant or tenants occupying the premises and to let and let the same and to receive the rents and profits thereof until the said three pounds per annum and all ? thereof and all charges concerning the same shall be fully paid to her the said Elizabeth and her assigns according to the true intent and meaning of this my will.
Item I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Elizabeth the sum of fifty pounds of
lawful money of Great Britain.
Item I give unto my grandchild Margaret Young the sum of
ten pounds of like money to be paid to her at her age of eighteen years.
Item all and singular
the rest and residue of my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever
(after payment of my debts legacies and funeral charges) I give and bequeath unto my said
daughters Elizabeth Denne and Anna Denne equally to be divided between them.
Item my express mind and will is that my said daughter Mary and her four children their executors
administrators and assigns to whom I have given the said messuage and premises in
occupation of Thomas Hoyle shall not build upon the messuage and premises whereby to
darken or stop up any of the lights or windows of the messuage in my occupation hereby
given to my said daughters Elizabeth and Anna.
Item my will further is that whereas my said messuage in Deal being leasehold estate under the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury that when the lease from the said Lord Archbishop shall come to be renewed that then the lease of the said messuage ground and premises hereby given to my said daughter Mary and her children shall be taken in the name of such person or persons as she shall appoint in trust that the same premises may go and ? to her children after her decease according to the true meaning of this my will.
And I do make constitute and appoint my brother Thomas Denne and my said
daughter Anna Denne joint Executors of this my will and revoking all former will by me
heretofore made I do make and declare this only for my true such(?) last Will and Testament
contained in the predent(?) and this present sheet of paper. In witness whereof I the said
Daniel Denne have to each sheet of this my will set my hand and seal the eighteenth day of
July 1715 and in the first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George King of Great
Britain by Daniel Denne. Signed sealed published by the said Daniel Denne the Testator for
and as his last Will and Testament on the day of the date thereof in the presence of us
subscribed our names in the presence of the Testator.

? ? ? ? Mr Daniel Denne the Testator ? and appoint(?) this codicil may be annexed to
this will that Jane Hoyle the daughter of Thomas Hoyle and Mary his wife shall enjoy an
equal part of what he hath bequeathed to his four granddaughters which they shall come(?) to
enjoy the same and ? of four parts there shall then be five parts. Witness his hand and seal this
