Item I do herein make constitute and ordain my daughter Jane wife of John Hukster and my daughter Alice wife of Thomas Morgan those my two daughters I do herein make joint Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Alice Morgan and all my household lands lying and being in Ickham near(?) Littlebourne Street where now William Garlinge liveth freely for her to enjoy during her natural life and after her decease I freely bequeath the same homeland(?) lands to my granddaughter Mary Morgan during her natural life and my will is further that those two my daughters and granddaughter keep and maintain the land in good repair while either of them enjoy it
and after their decease I freely give and bequeath the said house and lands before mentioned to Thomas Denne son of Thomas Denne of Chislet Court and further my will is that if he the said Thomas Denne decease without a male heir that then it shall still go the eldest male heir of the said Thomas Denne and to their male heirs succeeding forever.
Item I also give and bequeath that my house and lands lying and being in Ickham Street near the church gate unto my loving daughter Jane wife of John Hukster aforesaid further to enjoy after my decease and after her decease to remain among her children as by a deed by me formerly made doth make that more fully ?
Item I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth wife of Nicholas Garlinge all that two third parts of that house in Ickham Street now belonging to me which I bought of Stephen King for her to enjoy during her natural life and after her decease to her eldest son then living and if the eldest son die without a male heir then to the next eldest male heir and so succeeding from the one to the other of the male heirs of this my daughter Elizabeth after mine and her decease forever.
Item I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne wife and widow of Henry Elvie all that my now dwelling house with ten perches of land thereto adjoining near a certain place called Leg Lane in Ickham Street with a free passage of ingress egress and regress to and from the said well there for her and hers freely to fetch and carry water at any time and times after my decease and after her decease to her son my grandchild Thomas Elvie and if he die without heirs then to my granddaughter Anne Elvie and so from one to the other succeeding and from their heirs forever. And if there should be want of issue my will is that this my house and lands still return again to the heirs of my Executor or to either of their male heirs forever.
I also give unto my daughter Mary, wife of James Hutson the sum of one shilling to be
paid by my Executor or by either of them within a year and a day after my decease.
Item I also give and bequeath unto my daughter Esther wife and widow of John Pope
to her I freely give the sum of forty shillings to be paid by my Executors or Executrixes as followeth
(that is to say) they shall pay her the sum of twenty shillings at a year and a day after my decease and
the remainder sum of twenty shillings within two years after my decease
and further my will is that
these my Executrixes before named shall bake or cause to be baked some bread as the quantity of one
sack of wheat will make well ground into mealle and for them to give it freely to the poor people of the
said Parish of Ickham at or upon the day of my funeral without any grudging or wrong but freely to give
it to the best of their knowledge to fulfil this my last Will and Testament this being my last Will and
Testament ever by me made other by word of mouth or in writing revoking all other former wills and
testaments. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of October
in the year of our Lord Christ 1719. Thomas Denne. Sealed and declared in the presence of us whose
names are hereunder subscribed in the presence of the Testator.
