I give and bequeath unto my said son John Denn two of my East India Bonds for one hundred pounds each and all arrears of interest thereon at my death. I give and bequeath also to my said son John Denn the annuity of nine pounds payable by the Parish of Rotherhithe aforesaid during the life of my daughter Mary Denn now Mary Green and all arrears thereof at my death he paying to his said sister Mary Green out of the six pounds yearly during her life but if my said son John Denn should happen to die ? my said daughter Mary Green in such case I give all the said annuity to my said daughter Mary Green and her assigns.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Drayton heretofore Elizabeth Denn and her assigns all that my other annuity of nine pounds payable by the said Parish of Rotherhithe for and during her natural life and all arrears thereof at my death.
I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Green an East India Bond for one hundred pounds and all arrears of interest thereon at my death but if my said daughter Mary Green and her husband shall not within three months after my decease execute sufficient release in the law and thereby effectively and for ever release and discharge my Executors and estates of and from all demands whatsoever on account of the legacies left to my late son Hornblower(?) Denn deceased by my sister Edwards and my Aunt Smith and all his and her demand on the estate of the said Hornblower Denn by virtue of his last Will and Testament or otherwise howsoever then and in such case I give and bequeath the said East India Bond with all arrears of interest thereon unto my said son John Denn.
I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Elizabeth Drayton an East India Bond for one hundred pounds and all arrears of interest thereon at my death, but if my said daughter Elizabeth Drayton and her husband shall not within three months after my decease execute or sufficient release in the law and thereby effectively and forever release and discharge my Executors and Estate of and from all demands whatsoever or amount of the legacies left to my late son Hornblower Denn deceased by my sister Edwards and my aunt Smith and all his and her demands on the estate of the said Hornblower Denn by virtue of his last Will and Testament or otherwise howforever then and in such case I give and bequeath the said East India Bond with all arrears of interest thereon unto my said son John Denn
and my will is and I do hereby order all my plate, household goods and furniture except such part thereof as I have or shall by writing under my hand specifically give away to be sold with all convenient speed after my decease and the money thereto arising and all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal of what kind and nature soever after payment of my debts funeral expenses and legacies I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said son John Denn his heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely and forever and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son John Denn and the said Thomas Henry Executors of this my last Will and Testament and my will is that the said Bartholomew Sabarin and Thomas Henry shall be indemnified out of my estate against all costs, charges and expenses whatsoever which they or either of them may bear, pay,sustain, suffer or be put unto in any matter or thing whatsoever necessarily relating to the execution of this my will and lastly I do revoke and make void all former wills by me made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament .

May in the twenty second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord, George the Second by the Grace of
God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of

presence of us who in her presence and at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed

I note of such things as I have excepted from the sale of my goods after my death as follows. To my son John his fathers picture and mine his own two pictures and his brother would have the two ship pieces and the small print, my work cabinet, his fathers chest and the leather portmanteau, the chinze counterpain and the chinze quilt with a green border, my ? ? scallop bowl if enough to pay my debts and bury me you may keep the silver bowl ? and ladle the books between him and John Blake except Doctor ? Sermons if there is three of them, one apiece to his sisters my Grandson Blake my large prayer book
to my daughter Green her fathers� picture at ? her Aunt Smith and her own my ? ? and all belonging to it, my white quilted gown, my velvet scarf and white Joseph, my best Holland(?) sheets laces(?) in the ? in the forechamber and pillow ? in the same place the furniture of the same room except the ? and the work glass made up with gold and silver lace(?) my white quilt with chinze one side the enamelled bowl and her sons he bought from her own chest of drawers and the other in her room a work(?) box.
To my daughter Drayton, her own picture her uncle and aunt in the forechamber
my green satin nightgown the work glass made up with gold and silver lace(?) and work ? two small
bowls with one is joined a fine table cloth and a dozen of napkins in the cabinet and a printed satin
counterpain in the same place my long blue cloak my wearing linen and house linen to divide between
my two daughters. To the Reverend Sabarin(?) the picture of Our Saviour over the forechamber
chimney to Mr ? the picture of Solomans Temple over the fore parlour chimney. My funeral charges as
little as possible my coffin two ? oak a middling ? and middling cloth one clergyman and that Mr
Sabarin(?) if is well and capable of going Mr Drayton to ? the coffin of Mr Henry only the ? work and
to send to your house or you to send for it and do everything else Mr Sabarin my best Clarks(?) silk
cloak.

This will was proved at London (with codicil annexed) before the Worshipful Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Surrogate to the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth(?) also Doctor of Laws Master, Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on the sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and forty nine by the oath of John Denn the son of the said deceased and one of the Executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased being first sworn duly to administer power received of making the life grant to Thomas Henry the other Executor when he shall apply for the same
This will with a codicil annexed was proved at London before the Worshipful Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Surrogate to the Right Worshipful John Bettesworth(?) also Doctor of Laws Master, Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted on the third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty nine by the oath of Thomas Henry the other Executor named in the said will to whom administration was granted being first sworn duly to administer.
On the 29th day of October 1824 administration (with the will annexed) of the goods, chattels and credits of Mary Denn late of Lewisham in the County of Kent widow deceased left by John Denn the son one of the Executors and the Residuary Legatee and by Thomas Henry the other Executor named in the said will was granted to Mary Sarah Issit (wife of Charles Issit Esq ?) the ? of goods of the said John Denn deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
