Item I make John Denne of the Parish of Herne my sole Executor and fifty pounds of lawful money of Great
Britain
and to Thomas Denne the son of John and Elizabeth Denne of Herne the sum of thirty pounds
of lawful money of Great Britain
if there should be any money left I leave it to the Executor to disburse
as he thinks proper.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set hand and seal this twenty fourth day of
August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty. Thomas Denne. Signed sealed
published and declared by the within named Thomas Denne to be the last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who subscribed our names in the presence of the said Thomas Denne.

The before registered will of Thomas Denne deceased was proved the 23rd day of September 1780 before the Reverend George Hearne, Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Andrew Collee Ducarel, Doctor of Laws, Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of John Denne the sole Executor named in the said will he being first sworn well and truly to perform the same.
