Item I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Denne all my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature degree quality or kind soever that I shall do possess of interested in or entitled unto and all my ready money securities for money plate china linen woollen household goods and furniture stock household stuff and utensils she paying thereout all my just debts funeral expenses the Probate of this my will and all other incident expenses.
And my mind and will is and I do hereby order and direct that if my said wife marry again that then and in such case I give and bequeath unto my five children Thomas Denne, Jonathan Denne, Mary Denne Elizabeth Denne and Hannah Denne and to each and every of them the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to them out of my personal estate hereinbefore given and bequeathed unto my loving wife Elizabeth Denne within six months after such marriage.
And I do hereby ordain nominate constitute and appoint my said loving wife
Elizabeth Denne sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and
making void all former and other wills at any time or times by me heretofore made and I do
declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said John
Denne the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper
together annexed have to each sheet thereof set my hand and seal this fifth day of June in the
forty fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of
our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four. John Denne. Signed sealed published
and declared by the said John Denne the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the
presence of us who in his presence and at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as
witnesses.

The before registered will of John Denne deceased was proved the eighth day of January 1785 before the Reverend George Hearne Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Andrew ? Durant Doctor of Laws Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Elizabeth Denne widow the relict and sole Executrix named in the said will she being first sworn well and truly to perform the same
