I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth Denne and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life one annuity or yearly sum of fifteen pounds of lawful money of Great Britain free and clear of and from all taxes charges and deductions whatsoever to be paid unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne by my said son John Denne on the four most usual feast or days of payment in the year (that is to say) the feast days of the Annunciation of the blessed Virgin Mary, the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, Saint Michael the Archangel and the Birth of our Lord Christ by even and equal portions quarterly to be paid the first quarterly payment thereof to begin and to be made on the first of the said feast days that shall happen next after my decease and I do expressly charge and make liable the residue of my personal estate hereinafter by me given and bequeathed unto my said son John Denne with the payment of the said annuity or yearly sum of fifteen pounds hereinbefore by me given and bequeathed unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne for her life as aforesaid.
I give and bequeath my two leasehold messuages or tenements with the gardens and appertuances thereunto belonging situate and being in the Parish of Littlebourne in the said County of Kent which I hold under a lease from his Grace the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease unto my said son John Denne his executors administrators and assigns.
I give and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne the best bed and all and every the
furniture in the best chamber together with the linen ? and all and every the furniture in the little
chamber of my now dwelling house.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Bushell the wife of
Daniel ? Bushell the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of like lawful money to be paid unto her by
my said Executor within twelve calendar months next after my decease.
I give and bequeath unto my
daughter Elizabeth Denne the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds of like lawful money to be paid
unto her by my said Executor at her age of twenty one years together with the interest in the mean time
during her minority at the rate of ten pounds by the hundred pounds by the year.
I give and bequeath unto my son William Denne the sum of five pounds of like lawful money for insurance(?). And I give and devise unto him my said son all and every sum and sums of money which I have advanced for him and which he shall owe and stand indebted unto me at the time of my decease.
I give and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Denne my said sons William Denne and John Denne and my said daughters Mary Bushell and Elizabeth Denne all and every my household linen and plate whatsoever ? to be divided between them share and share alike and from and immediately after the payment of all my just debts legacies funeral expenses the charges of proving and executing this my will and all other incident charges and subject to and charged and chargeable with the said annuity or yearly sum of fifteen pounds unto my said wife for her life as aforesaid.
I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my goods chattels effects debts due and owing unto me money securities for monies and all other my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature kind or quality soever the same shall consist and be at the time of my decease unto my said son John Denne his executors administrators and assigns.
And I do hereby revoke and make void all former wills and testaments by me at any time
heretofore made. And I do hereby publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testaments. In
witness whereof I the said William Denne the Testator have to each sheet of this my last Will and
Testament in two sheets of paper contained set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
William Denne. Signed sealed published and declared by the said William Denne the Testator as and
for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto in his presence at his request
and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses the word of fifteen being wrote on
? in three different places in the above will before the execution thereof.

The before registered will of William Denne deceased was proved the twenty sixth day of December 179? before the Reverend Joshua Dix Clerk Surrogate to the Worshipful Sir William Scott Knight Doctor of Laws Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of John Denne the son of the Testator and the Executor named in the said will he being first sworn well and truly to perform the same.
