I devise and bequeath all the freehold, messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments and all the leasehold and other personal estate and effects which I may be respectively ? and possessed of or entitled at my decease or may have power to dispose of except such estates and interests as may then be vested in me as a trustee or mortgagee unto and to the use of my dear daughter Frances Denne the younger for her own absolute use and I appoint my said daughter Frances Denne the younger sole Executrix of this my will and I devise and bequeath all such estates and interests as at the time of my decease may be vested in me as trustee or mortgagee unto my said daughter Frances Denne the younger upon the trusts and subject to the equities affecting the same and I revoke all former wills and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof, I the said Frances Denne the Testatrix have to this my last
Will and Testament in one sheet of paper contained set my hand this eight day of December in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty. Frances Denne. Signed by the said Testatrix as and
for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time in the presence of the said
Testatrix who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our
names as witnesses.

This is a codicil to be annexed to and taken as part of the last Will and Testament of me Frances Denne
of Grove Hill, Upstreet in the Parish of Chislet in the County of Kent, widow I give devise and
bequeath unto and to the use of my dear daughter Frances Denne and her heirs all that the one full and
equal third part or share and other the part or share parts or shares whatsoever which my late brother
William Slater, late of Alkham in the County of Kent Esquire deceased hath in and by his last Will and
Testament given devised and bequeathed to me my heirs executors administrators and assigns of and in
his real and personal estate and to which I am now entitled and all my estate and interest therein both at
law and in equity unto and to the use of my dear daughter Frances Denne her heirs ,executors,
administrators and assigns absolutely and for ever which gift devise and bequest hereby by me made to
my said daughter I direct shall be considered as an addition to any gift, devise, legacy, bequest or
provision to or for her my said daughter contained in my said will or in any previous codicil thereto. In
witness whereof, I the said Frances Denne the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand this twenty fifth day
of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six. Frances Denne Signed by the

present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other hereunto
subscribed our names at witnesses.

Proved at London with a codicil the 8th July 1847 before the Worshipful Herbert ? Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Frances Denne, spinster the daughter the sole Executrix to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.
