I bequeath to each of my three nieces Elizabeth Denne, spinster, Susan the wife of Walter
Hills and Caroline Denne spinster the daughters of my brother William Denne the sum of five
pounds.
I bequeath to my niece Jane Ann Goodbody my gold watch and its box.
I bequeath to my niece Lucy Mary Ann Denne my ring with the hair of my
brother Mark therein and my locket with the likeness of my late father therein.
I bequeath to my friend Maria Tasman my diamond ring and my mother of pearl inlaid
rosewood work box.
I bequeath to my friend Elizabeth of the wife of my said Executor James Clifford my
Tunbridge Ware Work Box with its contents (except money).
I bequeath to my nephew George Goodbody my marble tobacco pot.
I bequeath to my nephew Thomas Denne my timepiece and my five irons.
I bequeath to my nephew Mark Denne my common(?) ? and four silver teaspoons and sugar
tongs and my bible.
I bequeath to my nephew John Rayner Denne my mothers portrait and all my printed books
and manuscripts not being tithe deeds or securities for money.
I bequeath the residue of my personal estate as to one equal
third part thereof to my brother John Denne absolutely and if he shall not be living at my decease to
such of his children as shall be living at my decease equally to be divided between them if more than
one.
and? as to one other third part to such of the children of my late brother Thomas Denne deceased as
shall be living at my decease equally to be divided between them if more than one
and as to the
remaining third part thereof to such of the children of my late sister Mary Jane ? deceased as shall be
living at the time of my decease equally to be divided between them if more than one.
I revoke all
former wills and codicils. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eighteenth day of
October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six. Catherine Denne. Signed by
the said Catherine Denne the Testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us
present at the same time who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have
hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of James Clifford one of the Executors to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer power reserved of making the like grant to John Rayner Denne the nephew the nephew the other Executor when he shall apply for the same.
