In the name of God Amen the xiiijth daye of October in the yeres of the raigne of or Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland, defender of the faith &c, that is to saie of England France and Ireland the eight and of Scotland the xliiijth [1610]
I Robert Devale of the parishe of Sandherst in the Countie of Kent being sicke in body but of good and perfect rembrance thanks bee to God doe ordaine and make this my Last will and Testam[en]t in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my soule to Almightie God who gave yt Trustinge onely in the merits death and passion of Jesus Christ my savior to have forgivenes of all my sinnes by whose free mercie I trust assuredlie to bee saved and my body to the earth from whence it was taken

Item I give & bequeath unto the poore mens boxe of Sandherst xijs
Item I give and bequeath unto Joane my wief Fiftie powndes of Lawfull money of England, w[hi]ch shalbee putt to the best proffit that maie be by mine Executor hereafter to bee named and hee my said executor shall paie yearely unto her the said Joane evry yeare during her n[atu]rall lief vli [£5] of lawfull money of England toward her maintenance being the use of the said vli beefore menconed
And after her decease my very mind and will is the said Lli [£50] shalbee equally devided betweene
my five children, John, James, Thomas, Ceclie and Dorothie whin one yere nexte after the decease of the said Joane,

Item I give and bequeth unto my sonne James xl li [£40] of lawfull money of England to bee paide unto him by mine executor hereafter to be named whin one yeare after my decease,
Item I give & bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Devall xl li of lawfull money of England to bee paide unto her by mine executor hereafter to be named whin one yeare after my decease,
Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Cicely Devall xx li of lawfull money of England to bee paide unto her by mine executor hereafter to be named whin one yeare after my decease,
Item I give and bequeath unto Dorothie Devall my daughter xx li of lawfull money of England to bee paide unto her by mine executor hereafter to be named when shee shall have accomplished her age of two and twentie yeares

All the rest of my goods & chattells unbequeathed my debts legacies and fuenrall expences first paid and discharged, I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Devall whom I ordaine and make my sole executor;
And further I ordaine and make George Wells and George Petter overseers hereof, and they to have either? of them vs to be paid them by my executor
