In the Name of God Amen I Abraham Dezwaert of the Parish of All Saints in the City of Canterbury Silk Weaver being ailing in Body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (praised be Almighty God) considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life and revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First and principally I commend my Soul unto Almighty God my Creator and Jesus Christ my only Creator and Redeemer by whose Mercy and Merits I hope to Enjoy Everlasting Life my Body I commit to the Earth therein to be decently interred according to the direct and discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as for such Worldly Estate wherewith the Goodness of God hath blessed me I give and dispose thereof as follows

I give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Garden Backside and appurtenances Situate lying and being on the parish of Saint Margaret in the City of Canterbury now in the tenure or occupation of Ann Tempreman of her Undertenants and also all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Barn Stable outhouses Buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the several Peices or Parcels of Land of the same letten used occupied or enjoyed Situate lying and being on the parish of Saint Michael Harbleton in the County of Kent Now in the Tenure or occupation of Philip Lane or his assigns or undertenants unto my loving and honoured Uncle and Aunts Edward Le Keux Esther Thorp and Rachael Le Keux and the Survivors and Survivor of them and the Heirs of the Survivor of them for ever

also I give and bequeath unto the Walloon Congregation whereof I am a Member the Sume of five pounds
To my loving Cousin Elizabeth Shouffler Widow the sume of Forty shillings
And to my loving Cousin Peter Thorp the sume of Twenty pounds
which three last mentioned Legacies I direct to be paid within three Months next after my Decease

also I give devise and bequeath all my Linnen Wollen and wearing apparell plate and Jewells and also all the rest and Residue of my Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever whether in Possession Reversion Remainder or Expectancy or otherwise howspever not hereinbefore disposed of (after payment of my just Debts and the Charges of my Funeral) unto my said Uncle and Aunts Edward Le Keux Esther Thorp and Rachael Le Keux equally between them or to the Survivors or to the Survivor of them who shall be living at the time of my Decease his her or their Heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns for Ever

And lastly I do nominate constitute and appoint my said Uncle and Aunts Edward Le Keux Esther Thorp and Rachael Le Keux joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Forty and in the Fourteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. Abram Dezwaer
