This is the last Will and Testament of me Rachel Dilnot of Patrixbourne in the County of Kent Widow in manner following (that is to say)

I give and bequeath unto my dear Son John Dilnot the Sum of one thousand pounds of good & lawful Money of Great Britain upon Trust that he the said John Dilnot his Exors or Admors shall & do immediately after my decease invest put & place out the same in some one or more of the public Stocks or Funds of this Kingdom or in private real Security at Interest at his or their Discretion and in his or their own Name or Names with full power to call in remove and new place out as he or they may think Proper so as the best annual Interest be made thereof as conveniently may be without lessening the Principal

And when and as the same shall be from time to time invested put & placed out as aforesaid Then upon further Trust that he and they shall and do Pay & apply all the Dividends Interest & Yearly Proceed thereof as the same shall arise & become due & Payable & be received unto my dear Daughter Rachel Dilnot for and during the Term of her natural Life to and for her own Proper Use & benefit

And I direct that the same shall be by her accepted & taken in Lieu & in full Satisfaction of the Annuity or Yearly rent Charge or Sum of Ten Pounds given for her Use & Benefit in & by the last Will & Testament of my dear Husband John Dilnot deceased

And from & immediately after the Decease of my said Daughter Rachel Dilnot Then upon further Trust that he and they shall & do assign & transfer the Stocks Funds or Securities in or upon which the said Sum of one thousand Pounds shall or may then be invested Put or Placed out as aforesaid and the Dividends & Interest the due for the same unto my dear Daughter Margaret Harvey the Wife of Henry Wise Harvey in the Parish of Eastry in the County of Kent Gentleman her Exors Admors & Assigns to & for her and their own absolute use & Benefit

Also I give & bequeath unto the said John Dilnot & Henry Wise Harvey the Sum of one thousand pounds Capital Stock in the four per Centum Bank Annuities now standing in my Name in the Books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England Upon Trust that they & the Survivor of them his Exors & Admors shall and do Pay & apply the Dividends & Yearly Proceed thereof as the same shall from time to time arise & become due & Payable & be received unto my said Daughter Rachel Dilnot for and during the Term of her natural Life to & for her own Proper Use & benefit

And from & immediately after her Decease Then upon further Trust that the said John Dilnot & Henry Wise Harvey or the Survivor of them his Exors & Admors shall & do assign & transfer the said Sum of one thousand pounds Capital Stock and the Dividends & Interest then due for the same unto & amongst all & every the Children of my said Daughter Margaret Harvey as well those already born as those who may hereafter be born equally to be divided between them share and Share alike and to their respective Exors Admors & Assigns

And whereas I did on the Marriage of my said Daughter Margaret Harvey with the said Henry Wise Harvey give unto her the Sum of one thousand Pounds as & for her Marriage Portion Now I do hereby give and bequeath unto the said Margaret Harvey the further Sum of one thousand pounds of like good & lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executor herein after named within twelve Calendar Months next after my Decease And I direct that the same shall be by her accepted & taken in lieu & in full Satisfaction of the Legacy of two hundred pounds given unto her in & by the last Will & Testament of my said dear Husband John Dilnot

And whereas also my said Daughter Margaret Harvey hath already had over & above her said Marriage Portion her share of my Household Linen & many presents of plate & will be Entitled to further handsome Property under this my Will I think it is a Duty incumbent upon me to give all the Residue of my Personal Estate unto my said Son John Dilnot in return for his always having behaved to me and my said Daughter with the greatest Duty Love and Affection & having by his great Care pains & Attention to my Concerns since the Death of my said dear Husband greatly improved my property has I trust & hope that the said Henry Wise Harvey cannot have any reason to be dissatisfied with this my Will

I do therefore give & bequeath unto the said John Dilnott All & singular my Personal Estate of every Sort & Description whatsoever shall be & consist of or be reputed to consist at the Time of my Decease Subject to the Bequests & Legacies aforesaid and to the payment of my just Debts Funeral Expences the Costs & Charges of proving this my Will & all other Incidental Expences To hold the same & every Part & Parcel thereof Subject as aforesaid unto my said Son John Dilnot his Exors Admors & Assigns to and for his & their own and absolute Use & Benefit

And I do hereby make nominate constitute & appoint my said Son John Dilnot sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament
And Lastly I do hereof revoke & make void all former & other Wills by me at any Time or Times heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Rachel Dilnot the Testatrix have to the first Sheet of this my last Will & Testament in two Sheets of Paper contained set my Hand & to this Second & last Sheet thereof my Hand & Seal the Twentieth Day of June in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & ten Rachel Dilnott
