Item I geve to the poore mens Boxe of Hucking aforesaid 5 shillings
Item I geve to William Lott my sonne in lawe 5 shillings whome I do ordayne & make the
overseer of this my Testament
The Rest of all my goodes & chattels whatsoever I geve unto Joane my wife whome I likewise ordayne & make the sole & only Executrix of this my sayd Testament
This is the last will and Testament of me the sayd Richard made the day & yere abovesayd Concerning all my landes and Tenements
Inprimis I will that Joane my wife shall have & enioye to her & her assignes for by & during her naturall lyfe those severall roomes & places in my Tenements wheras I now dwell scituat in Hucking aforesaid That is to say the haulle the buttry the thre upper chambers on the east side of the howse; the podimare? barne together with those severall parcells of lands ensuing namelye Reeds, Plott, blacklande, the medowe, Cowton croft, Starrook & the younge garden lying on the northe syde of the said house with free ingresse, egresse & regress into from & by all & singular the sayd premises together also with the liberty of the Close & ponde nere adioyning to the sayd Tenement for her Cattell & necessaryes whatsoever
The rest of all my lands & Tenements whatsoever together with the afore rented premises in
forme abovesayd devised unto my sayd wife I give & bequeathe unto Thomas Ducke my
sonne for term of his naturall lyfe without impechment of waste & after his decease to
remayne to his heires males of his bodye lawfully begotten
he the said Thomas paying the one half of my debtes
And also paying unto Ellen Ducke & Marye Ducke my daughters the
some of fortye poundes of lawfull englishe mony in manner & forme ensuing That is to say to
Ellen Ducke twentie poundes & to Mary Ducke other twentie poundes within one yeare next
after my decease
And for defaulte of payment thereof in manner & forme as aforesaid my will
& entente is that they and either of them whose parte or portion or any parte thereof shall
remayne unpaid as aforesaid shall enter into great six acres and Rodeshill parcel of the
premises above devised & the same shall holde to them or such of them & their heires as shall
rest unpaid as abovesayd any thing herein conteyned notwithstanding
And further yf it shall happen my said sonne to dye without heire male of his bodye lawfully begotten That then my will & entente ys that all & singular my said landes & Tenements shall remayne to Joane, Alice, Elizabeth, Rabeche, Eline & Marye my daughters equally to be devided amongst them for term of ther lyves without impechment of wast And after the decease of them or any of them ymediatlye to remayne to the heires of the severall bodyes lawfully begotten And if it shall happen any one of them to dye without heire or heires of their bodyes lawfully begotten Thant then the parte of her or any of them so dying shall remayne equally to be devyded amongst the heires of the other sisters
Provided allwayes and my will and meaning is That if it shall happen my said sonne Thomas to paye unto the said Ellen & Mary Ducke my daughters the said some of �40 in manner & forme abovesaid That then ymediatlye from & after the said payment in forme aforesaid To be made my sayd sonne Thomas shall stande & be seazed of the said landes called great sixe acres & Rodeshill to hym & his heires for ever without any further limitaccon any gifte or devise in this my present testament to the contrary notwithstanding.
In witness whereof to the present, I the said Richard Ducke the day & yere first abovewritten
have put to my hand & published yt to be my last will & testament in the presence of
Edward Brockwell & Rychard Woolgate
