Imprimis my will and mind is that all such debts as I shall owe to any person or persons whatsoever at my decease be with all convenient speed fully paid and satisfied
Item I give devise and bequeath unto my loving wife Ann Duck One Annuity or yearly Rent
charge of Thirty shillings of lawfull money of Great Britain to be issuing had taken and
received out of all that my Messuage Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with the
Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or used as part or parcell thereof To have and
to hold the said Annuity or yearly Rent charge of Thirty Shillings above mentioned and every
part and parcell thereof unto my said loving Wife Ann Duck and her Assigns for and during
the Term of her natural Life payable and to be paid on the Feast days of St Michael the
Archangel and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by even and equal portions half
yearly to be paid the first payment thereof to begin and to be made at the next Feast of the
Feasts aforesaid that shall happen after my decease All which said Messuage or Tenement
Lands and Premisses are situate lying and being in the said Parish of Eastling in the said
County and now are in my own Occupation
And if it shall happen the said Annuity or yearly
Rent charge of Thirty Shillings or any part thereof to be behind or unpaid in part or in all by
the Space of One and Twenty days next over any or either of the said days or times whereon
the same of right ought to be paid as aforesaid that then and so often and at any time then after
it shall & may be lawfull to and for the said Ann Duck or her Assigns into the said Premisses
or any part thereof to enter and distrain And the distress and distress then and there found to
lead take carry away and impound And the same in pound to detain and keep untill the said
Annuity and all arrears thereof (if any be) and all Costs and charges sustained thereabouts
shall be fully paid and satisfied
Item I give devise and bequeath unto my son George Duck for and during the term of his
natural Life (subject to the Annuity) All my said Messuage Lands Tenements and Premisses
with the Appurtenances And from and after his decease to the Heirs of his Body lawfully
begotten or to be begotten
And for want of such Issue I give devise and bequeath the said
Messuage Lands and Premisses unto my grandson Thomas Ward son of my daughter
Mary and to his Heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchildren Anne Mary Elizabeth and James Ward Children of my said daughter Mary the sum of Ten pounds a piece of lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid to them at their respective Ages of One and Twenty years
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Ann Burck the sum of Ten pounds of like money to be paid to her by my Executors at her Age of One and Twenty Years
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elinor Duck the sum of Fifty pounds of like money to be paid her within one year next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Grandchildren John Wood George Wood and Ann Wood the sum of Ten pounds a peice of like money to be paid to them by my Executors at their respective ages of One and Twenty Years
Item all the rest residue and remainder of my goods Chattels Rights Credits and personal
Estate I give and bequeath unto my said wife Ann Duck and my son George Duck equally to be divided between them
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife
Anne Duck and my son George Duck joynt Executors of this my last Will and Testament
hereby revoking all Former Wills and Testaments
In witnes whereof I the said George Duck the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal
the ninth day of September in the Eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King
George over Great Britain etc Anno Domini 1721
George Duck Sen his mark Signed sealed published and declared by the said George Duck the
Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in
his presence subscribed our names as witnesses hereunto
