In the name of God Amen, The tenthe day of October, in the yeare of o[u]r Lorde God, A thowsande five hundrethe fyftye & eighte
I Hamon Dunkyn of the parish of Elmested in the Cownty of Kent hole of mynde & in good remembrannce (lawded be God) make & dispose this my presente Testament & last wyll in manner & forme folowinge
Firste I bequethe my soule to allmightye God or blessed Ladye Saynte Marye, And to all the holy company in hevan, And my body to be buryed in the church yearde of Elmested besyde my aunsytors there : All other Chardges at the discrecon of my executrix and oversear

Item I give to Wyllyam my sonne my best brasse potte
Item I give to every one of my daughters Four Edethe, Margarett, Margerye and Mawdley to ev[e]ry one of them a vjs viijd to be payed to them out of my landes after the deathe of Thomsyn my wyff, The first payment to the eldest daughter, and soe to the eldest, to all be payed
And if any of my daughters doe dye before the mony is payed, Then I will the other have it, equalye devyded emonges them

The residue of all my goodes mye dettes payed my legaceyes performed and funerall expenses deducted, I give to Thomsyn my wyff, Whome I make myne executryce [executrix]
And Rychard Foode sup[er]visor of this my testament and last wyll And he to have for his labor a iijs iiijd

This ys the testament and laste wyll of me the sayed Hamon the day and the yeare above wryten as Concerninge my Tenement and landes in Elmested or ells where
I give them wholy to Thomsyn mye wyff, the terme of her lyff, kepinge all reparyons [reparations], the lordes rent and other chardges withe out strepe and waste

And after the deathe of Thomsyn mye wyff, I give my Tenement and landes with the apputenncs [appurtenances] to Wyllyam my sonne and to his heires, he payeing to Sampson his brother fortye shillings to pay the firste yeare after the deathe of his mother a vjs viijd And soe yearely to the fortye shillings be payed

And yf Wyllyam my sonne doe dye withe out heiers, Then I give my Tenement and landes withe the appurtenncs to Sampson my sonne and to his heiers; And then to see all my legacyes and bequethes performed that then is unpayed and not dischardged

Hamon Dunkin was buried 15th October 1558 at St. James, Elmsted, Kent.
Thomasyn Dunkyn, wife of Hamon was buried on 27th October 1582 at Elmsted.
