In the Name of God Amen the Twenty Sixth day of August in the Sixth Year of the reign of King George over Great Britain &c. Annoq. Din 1719
I John Dunkin of Stonar in the Isle of Thannet in the County of Kent Gardiner being sick and weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the same, considering the uncertainty of this present Life do make ad declare this my last will and Testament in writing in manner and form following (that is to say)
Imprimis I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer to live with him Eternally after this my mortal life shall be ended and my Body I Commit to the Earth decently to be interred at the discretion of m Executrix hereinafter named and touching the disposition of the personal Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me I give and dispose of the same as followeth

And first I will that my debts and funeral Charges and probate of this my will shall be paid and discharged
Item all the rest and residue and remainder of my ready money household stuff Stock Crops Implements of husbandry Cattle Goods Chattells and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature quality or degree soever the same shall exist and be at the time of my decease I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Susanna for and towards the Education maintenance and bringing up of my Younger Children

and I do hereby nominate and appoint constitute and ordain her my said Loving wife Susanna full and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke disannul and make void all former and other wills and Testam[en]ts by me at any time heretofore made and do declare these presents to be my last will and testament

In Witness whereof I the said John Dunkin to this my last will and Testament in one Sheet of paper contained my hand and Seal have sett and put dated the day and year first above written

John Dunkin married 1st February 1693/94 at St. Andrew, Canterbury, Kent, by Licence:
Dunkin, John, of Sandwich, Gardener, Widower, and Susanna Bredwell, s.p. [same parish], Spinster, 21. At St. Andrew, Canterbury. John Heneker of Sandwich, g. [gentleman], bonds. Feb. 1, 1693[/4].
