In the name of God Amen the Eighteenth Daye of December in the yeare of our Lord Christ one thousand sixe hundredth and Twelve,
I William Duplacke of Apledore wthin the Dioceses of Caunteburye beinge in good and pfecte Remembrance (thankes be given to God) Doe ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge,
First I give and bequeath my soul unto Jesus Christe my only Saviour and Redeemer by whose Death and resurrection I hope to be saved my body to be Christianlye buried at the Discretion of my Executrix

Item I give to the poore of Apledore Tenn shillings
Item I give and bequeath to Alyce my wyfe Tenn poundes yearely and to be payed quarterly that is to saye every quarter Fiftie shillings,
Also I give unto her terme of her naturall lyfe the Bedstedle and bedd wch shee comonly useth to lye on, wch standeth in the Chamber over the Parlour, one bowlster, two blanketts, one Coverlet, two payre of sheetes, two pillowes, and two payres of pillowe Cotes, thereto belonginge,
And after her decease to Agnes Rych my eldest Daughter

Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Duplacke my sonne Duringe his naturall lyfe Twelve pownds yearely viz, every quarter of a yeare Three pounds, yf he shall not like to be kepte by my Executrixe, but yf he shall like to be kept and brought upp by my Executrix then my will and mynde is that she shall keepe him wth sufficient meates drinke and apparell and all other necessaries fittinge for him,
Provided allwayes that my mynde is that soe longe as he contynueth wth her she shall not paye him any parte or parcell of the foresaied legacie but shall keepe it to her owne use and benefitt towarde her Chardge in keepinge of him

Item I give and bequeath to Agnis Rich my eldest Daughter five poundes yearly to be payed quarterlie, that is to saye, Twentie and five shillings every quarter of a yeare But my mynde is the first paymente shall not begyn untill one whole yeare next after my Decease be expired,
Alsoe I give unto John Rich her son Twentie poundes to be payed him when he shall accomplish the age of one and Twentie yeares, And further I give and bequeath to him Fiftie pownds to be payed him wthin one halfe yeare after the Decease of my said sonne Thomas (yf he be then livinge) but yf he happen to dye before my said Sonne Thomas, Then my will and mynde is, that yf his saide mother Agnis outlyve my said son Thomas, that she shall have Twentie and five poundes one halfe of the foresaide fiftie poundes and the other Twentie and five powndes beinge the Residue of the said Fiftie powndes shalbe equally devided amongst my Daughter Relfe her Children, and to be payed wthin one halfe yeare after the decease as aforesaid of my said sonne Thomas

Item I give and bequeath to Alyce Relfe my Daughter Fitie powndes to be payed her wthin one yeare after my decease, and Fiftie powndes more to be payed her within one year after the first paymente is due, on Condicon that her husband Robert Relfe doe make or cause to be made unto my Overseers hereafter named a good and suFicient estate either by Joynter or any other waye, wch they shall thinke fitt of Tenn pounds by the yeare for the better mayntenance of Alyce his said wyfe term of her naturall lyfe, and after her decease to the heires of their two bodies lawfully begotten,
And further my will and mynde is, that yf this assurance be not made sealed and Delivered wthin three quarters of a yeare next after my Decease, accordinge to the true meaninge of this my will, That then my Executixe shall have the benefitt of the said Legacies,

Alsoe I give unto Alyce Relfe my Daughter the bedsteedle, feather bedd, feather bolster, two pillowes, two blanketts, one Coverlet, one paire of sheetes one paire of pillowe Cotes wth the other furniture thereto comonlye used, as nowe it standeth in the perged Chamber,

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Katherine Burrishe Fifties powndes to be payed her wthin one yeare after my Decease and Fifty powndes more to be payed her wthin one yeare after the first payment is due, on Condicon that her husband William Burrishe Doe make or cause to be made to my Overseers hereafter named, a good and sufficient estate either by Joynter or any other waye, that they shall thinke fitt of Tenn powndes the yeare for the better mayntenance of my said Daughter Katheryn his nowe wife, terme of her naturall lyfe, and after her decease to the heires of their two bodies lawfully begotten,
And further my will and mynde is that yf his said assurance be not made sealed and Delivered wthin three quarters of a yeare next after my decease, That then my Executrixe shall have the benefitt of the said legacies,
Also I give and bequeath unto her one truckle bedstedle with the featherbedd and feather bolster now or usuallye lyinge upon yt, one payre of blanketts, one Coverlet, one paire of pillowes, and one payer of pillowe Cotes to them, and one pair of sheetes, All wch are standinge and beinge in the Parler Chamber

Item I give and bequeath to Sr Dudlye Digges my landlord my best horse beast in my keepinge at the tyme of death,
All the Residue of my goodes and Chattells unbequeathed my Debts and legacies being discharged and payed I give unto Rebecka Duplacke my youngest Daughter, whoe I ordaine and make the sole Executrixe of this my last Will and Testamente, on Condicon that shee be advised and ruled both in the bestowinge of her selfe in marriage, and in that she doe not lett or sett any parte or pcell of the farme wherein I nowe dwell, or sell any of the stocke (until seaven yeares next after my decease be fully expired and ended) wthout the Consente of my two Overseers hereafter named,
But yf it shall happen that shee be not ruled by my aforesaid Overseers in manner and forme foresaid Then my will and mynde is, that my foresaid Overseers shalbe sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and thereby have full power and authoritie to call my said Daughter Rebekah to juste and pfecte an Accompte of all such goodes and Chattells as hath either bene solde or otherwise conveyed awaye by her on her assignes,
And shall in all allowe and paye to sayd Rebeckah three hundreth pounds (and not more) within one yeare after they shalbe possessed of my goodes and Chattells as Executors of this my last will and Testament,
Further my will and mynde is that the overplus wch shall come into their hands (at their Discretion) shalbe bestowed equally amongst my other three Daughters and their Children,

And further my will and mynde is, that that yf it shall happen my said Daughter Rebeckah to dye before the day of her marriage, That then all the said legacie or legacies herein mencioned and before given to her by this my last will and Testament shall remayne unto my other three Daughters and their Children equallye to be devided amongst them at the discretion of my Overseers,

And for my Overseers I doe appointe and entreated Shemaia Selherst of Apledore and John Tookie of Norgiam to see this my last will and Testament truly pformed and kept, and my mynde is, that my Executrixe shall paye them or either of them all such reasonable Charges as they or either of them shall sustaine or be at, in the execution thereof. And furthere I will and give to either of them, over and above all their charges, Fortie shillings for theire paynes

In witness hereof and in full confirmacion and ratificacion of this for my last will and Testament to be my Acte and Deede I the foresaid William Duplake have heereunto sett my hande and seale the Day and year above written.

Allis Dewplake married Robert Relfe of Mayfield 23 Aug 1608, Appledore (Licence dated 16 August 1608. William Depelake of Faversham, Yeoman, acted as bondsman.
Katherine Duplack was baptised 9 August, Northiam. Katheren Dewplake married William Burrishe by Licence 3 Nov 1612, by Licence, Appledore
Rebecca Dupleck was baptised 6 Maay 1594, Northiam. Rebecca Dewplake married Thomas Holman, Yeoman, by Licence 20 December 1613, Appledore (Licence dated 9 December 1619).
Shemeiah Sellherst, Gentleman, was buried 26 December 1648, Kenardington, Kent.
