In the name of God Amen the twentieth day of June in the yeare of our Lord one thousand Six hundred eighty and Nine
I Ann Egerton als. Eginder of the parish of St. Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thannett in the County of Kent Widow one of the daughters and Coheirs in gavelkind of John Roberts dec[eas]ed late of the parish of St. John the Baptist in the said Isle and County being sicke and weake in body but of sound and p[er]fect memory (praised be God therefore) doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner following
First and principally I comitt my soule into the hands of Almighty God my creatour and to Jesus Christ my most merciful redeemer and my body to the earth to be decently buryed att the discrecon of my Executrix hereinafter named

Also I doe give and bequeath all and singuler my goods Ch[att]ells Creditts moveables and personall estate whatsoever after my debts funerall expences and charges of proofe of this my will be paid and discharged unto my three children John Egerton, Thomas Egerton and Hesther Egerton equaly to be devided betweene them share and share alike

And I doe hereby make and ordaine my said daughter Hesther Egerton Executrix of this my last will and Testament
and I doe hereby utterly revoake all former and other wills att any time heretofore by me made
and I doe nominate and appointe Roger Taddye of the said parish of St. Peters, Yeoman to be overseer of this my last will and Testament

This is the last will and Testament of me the said Ann Egerton otherwise Eginder for touching and concerning the disposition of all and every my lands Messuages or Tenements (that is to say) as for and concerning my moyety or halfe part (the whole in two equall parts to be devided) of all that Messuage or Tenement together with the barne gardens yards waterwell and all the lands arrable and pasture to the same belonging conteyning in lands in all by estimacon three acres and half an acre more or less Scituate lying and being in the said parish of St, John Baptist att or neer a place called East Northdowne and now or late in the severall occupacons of William Goodbourne and William Simons or their or one of their assignes with the appurtentes [appurtenances]

I doe give and devise all that my said moyety or halfe part the whole in two equall parts to be devided of all and singuler the said Messuage or Tenement barne gardens yards waterwell lands and premises with their and every of their appurtences unto my said children John Egerton, Thomas Egerton and Hesther Egerton equally to be devided betweene them and to their severall heires for ever by equall parts and portions which said Messuage lands and premises were heretofore the hereditaments of the said John Roberts my late father and were by him in and by his last will and Testament in writing given and bequeathed unto mee the said Ann and to my Sister Mary now wife of Henry Sandwell equally to be devided betweene the said Ann and Mary and to our heires for ever

In witness whereof I the said Ann Egerton als Eginder to this my last will and Testament have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written

Note: Ann Roberts married Johannes [John] Egerton 28th December 1648 at St. John, Margate, Kent.
