I give and bequeath to my first Son Edward Elliott of King Street
aforesaid the Sum of Twenty Pounds allowed from my benefit club held at the
Sign of the Pewter Platter Hatton Garden Holborn
that is to say I give my said Son Edward Elliott full power to receive my said Club Money to defray my
Funeral and all Other Expences attending my Sickness
and the Remainder of the Overplus Money to be divided between my two Sons Edward and William
Elliott
and I likewise authorise and appoint my said Son Edward Elliott to be
the Executor of this my last Will and Testament given under my Hand this
seventh Day of December in the thirty eighth Year of the Reign of Our
Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France
and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so Forth and in the Year of our
Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety seven Edwd Elliott
