In the name of God, Amen. The first of February in ye yeare of our Lord God 1616,
I Ralph Elmestone of Bocton Malherbe in the county of Kent, yeoman, being sicke in body but of good & perfect remembrance, god be praysed therefore, doe make & ordaine this my laste will & testament in manner & forme following, That is to say
Firste, as much as in me lyethe, I will & bequeath my soule into the hands of god my maker hoping assuredly through the only merittes of Jesus Christe my saviour to be made partaker of life everlasting & I will my body to the earth whereof yt was made

Item I will & bequeath to Mr Robert Barrell to preach my funerall sermon Tenn shillinges
Item I will & bequeath to the poore of the parishe of Bocton & Liefferton Streate Twenty shillinges, whereof Eight to Liefferton.
Item I will & bequeath to John & Ralph Elmestone, the sons of my brother Richard, Five shillinges a peece
& I give to Ann & Ellen his daughters Five shillinges a peece
Item I give to Elizabethe, daughter of the foresaid Richard & my goddaughter tenn shillinges

Item I give to my sister Jone Dawes, wife to John Dawes, five shillinges
Item I give to my sister Ann Beeche, the wife to Thomas Beeche, Tenn shillinges
Item I will & bequeath to my sister the widow Gorham, Twenty shillinges & two paier of sheetes.
Item I give to Dennis Ducke, the wife of Thomas Ducke, Tenn shillinges.
Item I give to Thomas Goldsmithe the sonne of Thomas Goldsmithe my kinsman Twenty shillinges
Item I give to Nicholas Goldsmithe, sonne of the foresaid Thomas twenty shillinges
Item I will & bequeath to my sister Gorhams fowre daughters Twenty shillinges a peece & to every one of them a paier of sheetes
Item I give to Richard Gorham my sisters sonne five powndes & my cloake
Item I give to Roberte Elmeston, sonne of Richard Elmestone, five pownds, one paier of sheetes & one douzaine of napkins.
Item to my servannte Marian Addams, Five pownds, one paier of sheetes & one douzaine of napkins
Item I give to Walter Longley, Twenty shillinges
Item I give to Mr Edward Dearing & to Christopher Clement to eache of them one spurroyall in gold
Item I will & bequeath to Mistres Mary Belgrave, Ann Leete & the widdowe Bettingfield, five shillinges a peece
Item I give to my Ladies nursse five shillinges & Elizabethe of the Washehowse 12d
Item I will & bequeath to Mr Reynold Pix & Mr William Morrice to eache of them an Elizabethe Angell in gold
Item I will & bequeath to Edward License, William Hawkesforde & Christopher Larder, two shillinges six pence a peece
Item I give to Robert Evans & John Maddockes five shillinges a peece
Item I give to all the reste of my now fellowe servanntes two shillinges a peece, Thomas Willesden only accepted, to whom I will & bequeath tenn shillinges
Item I will & bequeath to old Thomas Balden five shillinges

The residue of all my goodes, Chattells & debtes, my debtes & legacies being paid & all my funerall expences discharged, I wholy give and bequeath unto my sister Gorhams sonne Vincent Gorham & my godsonne, whom I doe hereby ordaine and make my whole & sole Executor of this my laste will & testament

In witness whereof I have caused this to be written & have hereunto sett my hand & seale & doe publishe yt as my lst will & testament dated the day & yeare above written
